I am a little delayed in posting this but Wednesday night I was hunting lorebooks with a friend in Malabal Tor when we ran through the Silvenar area and came across no less than 20 or so bots with their bets out all killing werewolfs and collecting the scraps. I tried to report as many as i could but there were so many and they all had multiple pets along with similar bar-code style gamertags that it was difficult to keep track of which ones i had reported and which ones I had not reported.

One of those that i reported was actually 400 or so CP which is mind-blowing to me that a bot was allowed to farm hide-scraps all the way to level 400 without being banned. They were still wearing what looked like the gear you start with when you make a character along with all of the other bots that were lower levels. All had similar gamertags starting with the same letter and then being a random jumble of letters and numbers.

Also before someone comes in here and tells me there are no bots on console and that it's impossible I just want to let you know that you are naive and a fool.

Also for what it's worth after mentioning it in Zone chat that everyone should go report the bots I was told by someone that this is an extremely popular place for bots especially in the evening time on the NA server so it wouldn't be a bad idea to make this a regularly patrolled area by GMs.

That would require ZOS to actually employ GMs.

I am just hoping that the reason we don't see them is because they are in hidden mode and not because there actually aren't any.

Unfortunately I would imagine also that any GMs would mostly be on PC not leaving many for consoles.

Thing is, these bots infest usually one area in each zone. It is not rocket science for ZOS to visit those areas on a rotation and nuke these things.

And hardware ban the machines that produce them.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

Is there an after-market for XBox ESO accounts?

I suspect that some of the bots running on PC/NA are accounts that they bought from people getting out of the game and selling the account. Others are probably bought from companies that sell high level characters. Of course, some of them are just players who decided to take up botting. I'd like to report the ones that are using accounts they bought from someone else, but I can't tell which those are.

I agree. Camlorn in Glenumbra, Percolating Mire, that one area outside the delve in Rivinspire I can't remember, the mudcrab spawns near the oceans west of Sentinel in the Desert.... we need some regulated patrols.

I'm sure there is a market. I've seen people advertise in Zone chat for websites that sell everything from gold to mats to accounts.
