Did zos ban the TTC addon?

Someone posted earlier that certain addon was banned but did not say what addon. TTC isn't working anymore. There really isn't any point in playing this game without it. Without TTC teso is just another grinder (no offense meant to console players).

They were probably talking about "Miat's"? If so, not banned, but they did make changes to limit how it functions. I doubt that they can turn off an addon without releasing an update.

Not sure what ttc is but they did say they limited the info coming into addons . But iirc it was combat related.

They are removing an API call that tells the UI that an attack from players is being cast on you. It was being used to give people greater than intended awareness in PVP.

Pvprs that sneak up on people with complete lack of sportsmanship and any sense of fair competition will no longer be detected by a cheating add on that alerts the victim. The debates were amazing and contained one post after another expressing extreme hypocrisy or nonsense that the poster couldn't possibly believe. Popcorn sales at the forum concession stand will take a huge hit and might never recover. The only hope for the Jerry Springer audience forum drama vultures kind hearted bystanders is that the whole thing might not work. If it goes down like that, get your popcorn ready.

IIRC, TTC is not banned. However it has been wonky for various people (myself included) - e.g. errors on loading in-game. I am not sure whether this is a particular PC/network config issue or what, but there you are.

Essentially what I wind up doing for the time being is going to the TTC website instead and alt-tabbing to it whenever I need a quote.

That probably has something to do with the guild trader bug that didnt get fixed this week. Its confusing it.

Sometimes when a guild trader bugs and doesn't show on the guild page, it can affect TTC. It should fix itself next week with the new trade spots switch.

Just use Master Merchant instead of TTC.

Smoother, faster, and less bugs. Plus you don't have to open that annoying .exe file every time you start the game.

Which is why not a lot of people are strong nor intelligent.

TTC had server connection issues yesterday and several people in my guild (including me) couldnt connect to TTC server. That was apparently the fault of TTC's server and not caused by ZOS in any way. Also the recent guild trader bug has been causing trouble but that is a bug. ZOS is not banning TTC. Not according to any credible sources anyways.

If you're surprised the API for Miat's got changed you must have not been under a forums rock for the last months.

It was bad for business to have that thread sticky on top. It was what, two years old and over 100 pages since a dev responded to it. It was a black eye that wouldn't heal. So ZOS covered it up.

That thread become nothing but a toxic, blame, hate spewing speculation thread, the fact it took that long to die surprises me.

Oh man, “I gank for lore” is exactly what I’m going to miss.

You’re talking to a long time elder scrolls rouge. The closest thing I have found to an Elder Scrolls stealth experience in this game is farming gear from chests in vet dungeons using only stealth. Pvp is an mmo experience and ganking in or anywhere near someone in a wedding dress is not even elder scrolls related.

Anyone who keeps trading add-ons running while in Cyrodiil and then complains about the lag needs to think about more than just the servers.

I think they both have different extra features, but when it comes to main feature (pricing of items), then TTC is basically "multiplayer" version of MM. MM calculates average price based on sale you saw while TTC aggregates data from all the users and calculates price based on what everyone (who uses addon) saw. Then there are certain features which distinguish both addons. I personally use both, MM gives me nice summary of sales in guilds where I sell, TTC posts my items online and allows people easily find things I'm selling.

    Wat?

What does pvp have to do with TTC? I sell nodes. TTC helps you know what price to sell for. It does not pvp for you.

I have had this happen to me after a my system had updated. What I had to do was add it to the exceptions of both my Anti-Virus/ Firewall and Windows Defender even though both said they were not blocking it. After doing that it worked again for me.

The addition of extra lua zos gave us helps tremendously but yeah it is wise to shut off larger addons like Harvest and MM if you are suffering from lag/disconnects. TTC does not really run unless you are accessing your guild trader and if I remember right you cannot do this in Cryodiil anyway. The bank there is a simple bank. You have to leave Cryodiil to get the sell panel.

Master Merchant clutters your addon list with lots of subcategories "required" to work. That's a huge letdown rather than what TTC does.
