What the BEST PvE Hybrid build :)?

What breaks the game for me is doing the same thing as everybody else.
Stamina builds with bow back bar and endless hail etc. :(

So what is the BEST hybrid build you can do to push some DPS out?

I know it will never be as good as a pure build. but that is not what I'm asking :)

So help me out and come with some good ideas.

Either dragonknight or warden for class, both have an ability that gives both weapon and spell damage buffs (or did last time I checked, unsure if molten weapons has changed).

Really hybrid is only going to work well for tanking or soloing. Don't try to hybrid dps, it won't work.

    PS4 / NA
    M'asad - Khajiit Nightblade - Healer
Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer
Leonin - Khajiit Warden - Tank

I saw some Alcast(I think) hybrid builds that looked fairly impressive, pulling roughly 30k DPS with good resource pools. One using Shacklebreaker and the other using Pelinials. Both were viable for anything except maybe leaderboard trials, so it can be done. I suspect an average player would be able to get about 25-28k DPS out of one of those builds.

To me the appeal of a hybrid build isn't max DPS but better survivability and a a far larger toolkit to work with, if they ever release spellcrafting, the appeal of a hybrid will decrease significantly.

Basically any class, if it sticks to tanking, and DK & Warden are best at it. Of course the damage output would be bad and you'll have trouble killing even overland mobs, but tanking is mostly about sustain. I keep my tanking characters full stamina, but Hybridize trough gear, mundus and consumables that add maximum magicka, magicka recovery & spell cost reduction.

If you hybrid, that is a loss of DPS no matter what. This is why Tanks are hybrids because they don't need the dps but they need the resources from both to sustain. If you don't care about DPS, then hybrid but your damage is going to be based on your stats. The lower magic you have, the lower your spell damage will be. The lower your stamina, the lower your weapon damage will be. That is how the system works. So you can't have the best of both worlds in one without sacrificing dps.

But if that is what you want, mediocre DPS, then I am sure someone can supply you with a build to start with. I can not unless you want a tank build.

Is that a build you can find? I tried to google it but no luck :)?

      Not Alcast but usmcjdking:

      tamrielfoundry.com/topic/the-first-hybrid-sorcerer-dps-for-pve-content/

He pulled 35k+ dps with it back then, but a lot has changed in a year.

I used a downgraded version if it bc I lacked vmsa weapons. Was okay for an medium talented player like me. Sometimes when I'm bored, I still use it, but you definitely feel the power gap.

What type of hybrid are you looking for? Are there certain weapon types you want to use? Hybrid Magicka + Stamina does not work too well for damage dealers in this game (great for tanks), but there are many other hybrid types that I've seen done successfully for most content, including vet DLC dungeons (not so much vet trials).

      A few examples:
      - Stamina DPS/Healer on Warden with War Machine and Powerful Assault
      - Magicka DPS/Healer on Nightblade with SPC and Master Architect (actually works pretty well on most classes)
      - Tank/Healer on Warden or Templar
      - DPS/Tank on Sorcerer with shields and a taunt

The inability to create decent hybrid builds is for me one of the worst aspects of the game.

I agree with the op that it makes things dull with everyone running similar builds.

I do have a duel wielding mage that was fun whilst levelling but have had to change to destro staff now max level as just can't sustain.

Takes some of the fun out of playing.

Thx a lot :) It is something like this I'm looking for. I know it will not be as good as a pure build. But 35k is still a lot. and even if i can just pull 20k I'm glad :P

The only working hybrid build atm is DK or Warden tank. Both effectively use all resources and you can't stack one and forget the another.

As for dps, sorry no viable option (for veteran trials).

Will never get to do Vet trails anyway so its not the goal :)
