Unable to launch ESO

It looks like launcher.bethesda.net is down, so the launcher can't open ESO. Anyone else seeing this?

My launcher is screwed too. It said that something was corrupt and now prompts me to repair which I am reluctant to do based on how long that took a few years ago.

Same here! Launcher not working. Same as for a good bit of the guild members

You can't repair because the launcher can't contact the server. The "Repair" thing is a little misleading I think. It should be more like "Can't contact server for patch manifest."

Thank you for the clarification. I wish ZOS would make some sort of statement about this before too many people unnecessarily start repairing.

Same thing here. Managed to get around using the launcher by using the eso64.exe file.

it would help if you put your server in your post.

saw the op and dropped out of forum.... hit the eso shortcut and the game launched just fine

server is down there in the sig.

Running the ESO client directly bypasses the launcher and can get you into the game in the meantime.

North American Server for me. Client bypass worked for now.

Mac/PC NA here on a mac.
BTW I bypassed the launcher and clicked on the .app file and am in game now.

Launcher currently broken. I'm PC NA. Starting game client without launcher seems to work fine.

threw my out of the game, the game closed without warning, on trying to get it in again it crashed 3 times in row, finally got in again and yeah
loot gone, and penalty too for leaving group

Same here, PC NA.

I too opened the game with the eso64 file. This file is in "(((C:\Program Files (x86))))\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client

(((Go to the folder where the game is installed)))

I'm getting Error 206 when running the Launcher, and I can't Repair either. But if I run eso.exe (at least as admin) straight from the game's install folder, everything boots up fine. Try using that as a workaround for now.

PC-NA I get; can not open compress file, error 206, and when I try to repair, it just cycles the same error message.

UPDATE: if you 2xclick eso64.exe in your client folder, you should be able to play. At least at this time I am in the game.

I got the same error. PC NA (not Steam). Error 206. The launcher won't even let me 'repair' (when I click repair I keep getting the error 206 pop-up box). I tried restarting my computer, I turned off anti virus ... nothing worked. I played the game this morning just fine. I did nothing to my computer between then and now, but now the launcher won't launch the game.
