Medium (lack of) Style

So what's up with all the Medium armor looking like a robe or dress? It is basically the least badass look you can have. "Let me just hitch up my skirts so the bottom doesn't get muddy during this whole war thing." No wonder snares are so pervasive, people get tangled up in their bathrobe armor!
