Why are there limited-time items in the crown store?

Excluding holiday-related content, why are cosmetics made limited time in the crown store? It's not like there's a limit to how many things you can have up at a given time.
Outfit Slots are outrageously expensive. No, thank you.

✭✭✭✭✭I started this thread expecting a reply from one of the lads/ladettes at ZoS.
They have not responded to any of the other threads on this subject, and there have been dozens. At least two others this week.I am fully aware that they exist to pressure people into spending money.
And you answered your own thread.
I don't like the limited time stuff either, especially if it's just a few days. A month, sure I can see that, gives people time to plan their finances. Cycling the items through again at some future date would be good too.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

They did say several times over that there actually is a limit. Why or how high that limit is? No idea.
Also, basic marketing strategy. Artificially limit supply to generate demand.0 -
