If a new chapter has "balancing" issues, it should be just fair.......

if ZOS give you for your characters which are getting NERFED, balanced or whatever ZOS calls it, a possibility to change the class for free, and to reset all abilities, skills and CP for free!
Cauze you no longer have access to the build you created once, due to issuess on ZOS-side of the board.

if I buy a Volkswagen and afterwards it turns out it has not the possibility to do what it once was intended to do (CO2-emmissions) I can turn the car in and get another one, or my money back!

what do you think about this?
do you like the downgrades on characters, abilities, skills, armour, and whatever?
or do you also wish to have the possibility for free to reset?!

I have played long enough to know that things will change. New things are introduced, old things are removed. If you are really unhappy with how your class is performing now, having alts of different classes you can play is always the best choice.

Because you may think it's a nerf now, but as soon as people start playing with the new options they have, they will find effective ways to play. Then if you got this "class change" you wanted, you will regret it.

That's why alts are the best option. Nothing is lost. Only gained.

Wrong analogy. Correct would be: "I bought a Beetle in 1970. Now I demand Volkswagen to exchange my Beetle for the 2018 model, because it performs better".

I like how characters and items, strengths and weaknesses constantly shift. Its one of the main reasons I play mmorpgs. If my character would be exactly the same forever I could as well play Counter Strike.

As far as i know the user agreement you (as well as everyone else) signed allowes zeni to introduce changes at their leisure without any right for compensation.

Adding to it, I guess when handing in the Volkswagen you may have bought you will never get all the money back, after all... its not like you hand in a brand new car.

There never was a balance in MMORPGs. And never will be.
There's always meta in MMORPGs. And meta always changes.
There're always lazy players whose want to play meta class/build and don't want any changes. And they always will be upset with any balance updates.

I like changes in MMORPGs. And I never switch between classes because of meta changes. I choose my main class and play it, trying out different builds, testing things... When it's getting changed I learn to play from scratch.
That's why I play MMORPGs so long. They're never constant and I never bored.

Interesting thought but that could cause a load of issues. ZOS has and will touch every class since new sets are being brought out with each new DLC. Even as sets get nerfed, peoples builds are based around that set for maximum outcome. You see how this could cause an issue?

Now it would be different if ZOS gave everyone a free pass up to a week after a patch or DLC to change their skills/CP for free.

When you buy a car outright, you own it as per the vehicle title, subject only to the terms of additional services purchased.

You don't own your ESO account. It's in the TOS that you agreed to.

That's a bad analogy. First off, I'd never buy a Volkswagon. Second, they got busted cheating on their emissions testing. That's why the recall was done. It's not that expensive to completely respect a character. The hardest part would be getting new gear.

I personally just adapt to the new changes and keep playing. Sure I may need to change some enchants around and respect champion points, but that's pretty trivial to do. Allowing free class changes so you can swap to the current "FOTM" class is not going to happen.
