Maelstrom arena details

What is the possibility to get Maelstrom weapon? I done few runs and got some crappy blue items. Is it even worth to invest time in it?

Vet always gives a weapon, but its rng as to what weapon.

i haven't tried this content yet. I read that it is a solo arena. How hard is it on normal? I have multiple classes, i figure i would run it on bow/bow warden. I am at about 360 cp level.

Guaranteed maelstrom weapon?

Im 280CP so I guess its veteran arena and never got a maelstrom weapon.

If you are getting blue items, you are running Normal Maelstrom. Normal Difficulty does not drop Maelstrom Weapons. Normal is a great place to learn the mechanics of the arenas and the spawn locations, but the lower damage incoming and low health of the mobs make it considerably easier than Vet difficulty.

You'll need to swap the difficulty over to Veteran in your group menu and run Maelstrom Arena on Veteran Difficulty, where a Maelstrom Weapon will drop 100% of the time after completing the final arena.

So the weapon is only in the last chest right?

Ooops so maybe it was normal. It was pretty easy instead of one arena with that poison stuff. thx for the info.

Brace yourself, the jump in difficulty from normal to vet is huge.

I died only in that poison arena and that ice platform one:) But if you say that difference in difficulty is so high...

Normal is pretty easy, I did it around L45. Blue items etc from.the sets. Mechanics matter less as you burn thru.

Vet is a step up in difficulty, gives same set items but purple and last chest has a Maelstrom Weapon guaranteed but which one you get is RNG

Mechanics matter, spawns positioning, sustain, heals etc

its the biggest solo challenge in the game, great test of your build and going no death / leaderboard is a real challenge.

The difference between normal and vet....

Took me 8 hours to complete vet on a max level stam sorc in really good quality gear the first time (4 hours of that was on the final boss alone)

I can beat normal on a newly rolled level 4 character wearing trash armor you start with and a white quality resto staff.

On a side note, vet drops purple quality gear in every chest. Maelstrom Weapons and set jewelry on final chest.
