Greetings fellow good forum goers. I'm not certain if such a topic is appropriate or not, but, I figured, since this is a General Discussion forum, then why not. Like many of you all, I have been a long-time fan of the Elder Scrolls. For me, it was Skyrim that started it all; although, many of you have gone further back to Oblivion. Also, like many of you, I have put in a lot of game hours into ESO. For me, I have playing for over two years now. Despite all the craziness of lags, crashes, glitches, bugs, maintenance issues and other whatnots that made a gameplay less-than-enjoyable, what intrigued me the most (or what I enjoy about ESO) are actually the toons/characters that we create, and then take it into the journey of leveling. I like the physical appearance of the toons, and I also enjoy the different skillsets of each class. Practically, it's the toons and the overall awe-inspiring graphic and details of the game that have kept me intrigued with ESO this long.

With all that said, I have actually been intrigued with the idea of being a game designer. Well, I have been a gamer since middle school (wow, that's many, many moons ago), and I have owned practically every game console since the Atari 2600. I'm not actually the fresh out of high school and researching the many different colleges age, but, I am looking to start a new career. For the past couple of decades, I have been doing work for paychecks after paychecks (well, like practically all of us, except those fortunate millionaires and billionaires.. hey, that's life.) However, I'm pretty much at the end of my recent career. I am now looking to transition into the game designing career field and currently have been researching what courses, degree or technical proficiency one would need to have to be able to work with awesome gaming company, such as Bethesda, Bioware, Eidos, etc. I enjoy gaming and have a passion for video games for a long time now, and I figured, for my new career field, I am going to do what I like or enjoy to do; that is a new career associated with the video gaming industry.

I'm certain many of you folks on this forum are also game designers, whether with Bethesda/Zen/ZOS or elsewhere; thus, if you good folks can provide some insights on what degree, courses or program you would need to gain such knowledge. I hope it is not too much to ask. I have been talking to local graphic designing and game designing school reps in my area (Florida, by the way); however, it would be nice to have inputs from those actually have been working as one. Any insights, inputs, recommendation and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for those provided insightful and constructive comments and feedbacks.
