Just getting back into the game, and looking for character build help. I have focused on; medium armor, dual wield, stamina, health, stealth. I also love crafting and doing writs. I suppose my first question is... am I on the right track in terms of progression? If not, where should I be putting my skill points? Third question.... since I love crafting and gathering mats, what overall tip would you give me? Thanks for the help!

If you are focused on crafting and writs, I would dump my skill points towards those skill lines and then try to obtain gear that would help you farm like cowards gear

@SteveNicholas best thing is to try yourself, since you are stamina choose the stamina morph when that is available on your class skills.
and enjoy the questing and farming for crafting

Dual wield and 2nd bow is good for pve 2h instead of dw if you go pvp, I would recommend. Each their own.

you can go all out with crafting on 1 char, you just need to spend time collecting skyshards.

Research the traits that you feel are better first and the ones you don't think you will use much later.

As far as crafting goes, start learning traits early. When you get loot, go to the crafting stations, and start learning traits, then decon the rest. It can take close to 6 months to learn all the traits for everything, (armor and weapons). You might want to pick up either 2 handed or bow skill to go along with your dual weld skill. Most people who plan on PvPing choose dual weld and 2 handed. Bows are ok for a few of their skills, but only ok, don't expect using bow as a main weapon to work out too well in it's current state. Other then that, you just need to decide if you prefer stealth mode or stand up and fight mode for your play style. Then slot skills and weapons as needed.

Thanks guys for the tips! To answer some of your questions; yes this is my only/main character thus far, I am currently using DualWield with a Bow as a backup main. I would have 2 follow up questions; 1. What is "coward gear" in reference to the first comment? 2. Crafting traits? I am not entirely familiar with this area, I have scrolled over whole crafting and briefly saw, but is there a general rule of thumb for this? Thanks again to all

you can buy cowards gear in a guild store, I recommend getting the cp 160 version off the bat and use it once you reach that level. otherwise, to obtain them, you can go into battlegrounds, which is pvp, however if you sre built for crafting, it isnt recommended. Cowards Gear allows you to sprint faster and take less damage while sprinting

If only bow skills and passives (maybe not hail or injection) can get a buff. If snipe is what is holding bow back, make it a cheap ult and make rapid fire a spammable

I'm currently playing a argonian Bow/Bow stamblade. I'll make a khajiit stamblade later. If you want a good ability for AOE choose the crossbow Fighters Guild ability. Morph it to Silver shards for good AoE. I love that ability :)
