Regarding being forced port out of imperial city and the new telvar chests

Hey everyone,

I know this has been posted a few months ago when ZOS 'changed' (which is actually a bug, see below) that everybody gets ported out of imperial city whenever you log off. This was never the case before and there were zero complaints about how it used to work. According to ZOS this is a bug and it shouldn't work this way :

Hi everyone,
What you're experiencing is not working as intended - it's a bug. If you are in Cyrodiil or Imperial City and you crash, disconnect, or naturally log out, you should log back in to Cyrodiil/Imperial City. The only instance where this will not be the case is if your campaign is full (which does not sound to be the case here.) We're currently investigating, and thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Now with the new storage chests there will be many people farming telvar and this could actually mean imperial city will see some life!!!
But whenever you want to change character (lets say you see imperial city is overrun by reds and you want to kill them on your blue) or whenever you log out, you will get ported out of imperial city. Now this wouldn't be a problem if imperial city was instanced based or there was a quick way to travel to it (which would be awesome but lets not hope for that). But since its a pretty far ride if your faction has zero keeps on your server, and it will take multiple loading screens to get there (1 to cyrodill, 1 to nearest keep, 1 to imperial sewers, 1 to imperial city) I think many people will get demotivated to even get to the imperial city.

Please ZOS if you are reading this give the pvp'ers our imperial city back and let us stay there when we log off!!!
(I know that if the campaign is full you get ported out anyway but im not talking about that, it even happens to campaigns which are never full)

Thank you for reading :)

September 7th. It is now January 21st.

They've been 'investigating' it for four months. And people wonder why us players are so frustrated all the time. It's insulting that they acknowledge a flaw in the product then do not fix it for 1/3 of the year. I've never seen a game like this in my life. It's almost satirical at this point.

Yes I understand they have to fix a lot of things and this might not be their priority but after all these months please fix this bug!!!

All bugs should be a priority @Swernik

Especially ones that waste the time of players like this one. If they aren't going to give us a direct transport to the IC from the alliance gates then this NEEDS to be changed. Sometimes I crash just becsuse IC is a DLC area and all DLC areas make me crash on Xbox and then I have to ride all the way back to the sewer entrance it's such a time-sink.

Even though I despise cross-factioning, I agree with you that this was a nice feature for both IC and topworld PvP.

If your example scenario was that you were leveling up a new toon in imperial city, and get ganked, it would be nice to be able to swap to your big boy (of the same faction) already parked in imperial city, clear out the grind spot, then swap back to your lowbie and keep grinding, then I would be all for it.

This was a change no one wanted and I hope they revert it, although I hope that most people weren't using this feature for the crossfaction cancer that is harming the game.

    This ^ lol

If you see ZOS using phrases like "We're investigating this" or "This is our top priority" , dont expect much to happen.

Cyrodiil performance has supposedly been "Top Priority" for years.
