I've lost my forum invitation code when I bought the game, so I wrote to support and they sent me a new one.

I was in the first group of people to join the boards, March 2013, more than a year before the game released. I was/am a Moderator on the BGS boards so my account here was set up early. Ironically, it was in part to test getting an account set up here.

Don't remember. I started this account back in beta when I thought ESO was a huge disappointment. Took nearly three years for me to come back and give it another try.
I started a new account, but never got a forum invite, so here I am on my beta account.

I was signed up after I bought the game and created the account. I never specifically signed up for the forums. Just created a password.

Probably I ignored the email initially sent when I created the account in beta or it got spammed because I couldn't find it later, when I had bought the game, so I sent an account request by e-mail and got my account 2-3 days later. I realized I needed to be on the forums since all game info, especially build related one that I found googling was seriously outdated or simply missing and asking questions in zone or guild chats rarely turned out useful advice.

ugh it left me baffled for like 8 months. it claimed i needed an invitation code but it didn't tell me where i should find one. i scoured 2 email accounts repeatedly, i tried a code that came in the box when i bought the game, i was lost. for a long time i just said *** it and finally made a reddit account.

i supplied an unrelated bug report, and eventually got a customer service guy who actually seemed cool. he typed like a person instead of a rep (i mean, at least a little) and was just a tad irreverent, so i liked him. also very thorough. so i said "hey thanks, technically we're all done, but while i have you here can we find out where i'm supposed to get an invitation code?" well he set me up with someone who wanted to create the account for me, and i hate that. i've been doing my own stuff on the internet since before WorldWideWeb dropped so i'm not overly trusting, but it was further than i'd gotten on my own.

well, dude got everything right and here i am, coolest cat on the official forums. thanks Customer Service!

(and, sorry about the journal entry, but i kinda knew i'd type that out someday; thanks for asking. now i can let go of all that.)
