Got a bite early this morning I have vampirism, this shows under my character. Despite this, I have no vampire skill line. Is this a known issue?

There is a quest that needs to be done to actually get true vampirism and the skill line.

If you were bitten by a player you should be able to start the quest at the location where they bit you if you are both in the same faction.

This link has a map showing the location of Bangkorai if you are DC. http://teso.mmorpg-life.com/become-vampire-eso/eso_2014_03_15_09_47_40_413/

Rift and Reapers March each have one for their respective factions.

There was a scroll on the alter that you were supposed to read. I always tell people this before I bite them.

Once you have contracted the disease, you must complete the quest Scion of the Blood Matron to fully commit yourself as a vampire. You have 7 days to complete this quest, per UESP. The Curse of Vampirism can also be bought from the Crown Store for 1,500 Crowns. You do not need to do the quest if you take this route, as the initial disease stage is skipped and the skill line is unlocked immediately. Note: If you purchase a vampire bite from the Crowns Store, make sure that you are logged onto the character you wish to apply the bite to when you purchase it. It will only apply to that single character.

You must have contracted Vampirism before you can begin the Scion of the Blood Matron quest. If you were bitten by another player (which can only happen at an altar in your faction's final zone), a scroll will appear before you immediately afterward, directing you into the crypt under the altar. There you will find Rahaja, who will instruct you on how to become a full vampire.

The 7 days is only if bitten by a player, which I assume is the case here. If bitten in the wild there is no time limit unless they have changed that.

But if you were bitten by an NPC, you have to go to Evermore, Rawl'kha or Riften and find the NPC who gives you the "Scion of the Blood Matron" quest. Once you have the quest, it will also direct you to the altar you have to visit to complete it.

    Just for note.
There is a time limit if bit in the wild, I don't know how long, but I had one char bit in the wild, and tried to make it vamp 1 year maybe 2 after the bite, but could not do the quest so had to remove then get bit again.
