Dubious camoran throne substitute?

Hi, I don't have the recipe and feel at a disadvantage in PvP without it. Is there any substitute recipe that works well?

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Recipes_(Online)/TopLevel there's a table that will let you compare your options.

The short answer is no; nothing does exactly the same thing. You need to either adjust your expectations, buddy up with a friendly crafter and a big stack of Beetle Scuttle, or just buy the stuff from guild traders.

You should be able to buy the Dubious Camoran Throne drinks on guild stores. Given that it is one of the BIS options for Stam players, I find it very easily when I need to restock, usually for around 100-150g each on PC/NA. Search under Consumables.

If you can't find it, think about whether you need stam regen or max stam more. You could go for a blue max health/stam food, a purple tri-food with max stam/health/magicka or a Heath regen/stam regen drink.

Finally, that recipe came from the Jester's Festival around April Fools last year, so if you are patient, you might be able to collect a recipe for it from the event when it comes back around this year!

Ouch. If that's the going rate, then I would lean towards saying "I don't need the extra sustain."

I gave a guy I use to PvP with the recipe for it cause I know how desirable it is for Stam builds.

Your best option is to find someone who can craft it for you. Or wait until the Jesters festival to come back.

Another alternative is Lava footstomp from the new life festival

It's a few months off but you may have a chance to acquire the recipe during the Jesters Festival end of March/start of April. Prices should also go down a bit.

I actually like Orzoga's Tripe Trifle Pocket. Don't really need max stam as my regen is around 2700. I REALLY have to work to use all my stam in a fight.

Max stam increases your damage as well. So if you don't have any sustain issues you might be better off with a max health+max stam blue food.

I was just gonna say, you could collect the mats, give them to a friendly crafter in your guilds or friends list (which hopefully aren't empty - if they are, join a social guild :) ) and have them craft it for you.

If you're on PC-EU, contact me. Same as Apache_Kid, I'll do it for free.

They aren't that much at the traders, honestly. There are different sized stacks, too, so you can get some to get you through what you need until you can afford more. Also, food buffs aren't really needed in the open world, so you can save some by not refreshing until you are doing some group content.

Lava foot stomp which gives more stamina anyways so you could sub out a whatever glyph for a recovery glyph on jewelry or maybe use a 1 pc monster helm with Stam recovery, or use serpent mundus.

Incentive to do the holiday event. Except that, as I recall it, everyone did the event and shrugged over the recipes. Then about a month later everyone had this collective realization that "oh, wait, Dubious Camoran Throne is actually the most fantastic thing to happen to stam players since Lava Foot Stomp" and then you couldn't get a recipe for love or money.

Also, unlike normal recipes, holiday recipes scale from level 1 to CP 160. So its a really important recipe for that reason as well. If it weren't a holiday recipe, only CP 150-160 players could use it.

I'd bet there will be an even better recipe within a few updates. Withmother's Potent Brew was the top recipe until Clockwork Citrus Filet came out. The same will happen to stam food eventually. I hope.

Not necessarily that. At least, from the PS4 NA side, the Dubious recipe was most certainly a desirable recipe. The biggest problem was the RNG to get it. I remember getting more Jester Banners then Recipes. This recipe, plus the Jewels recipes were one of the hardest to get from the event.

Once people started putting Bone Pirate and this drink together, it really started to rise in value.
