Do you think next chapter will include a new class?

No new class because the warden wasn't really a new class. It was in the game files since alpha. They just never chose to release it until now.

But how will they bind it to Chapter purchase?

GW2 had new weapon specialisations in their first expansion. If you didn't have the expansion, you couldn't use those weapons.

    Necromancer would be nice :)

It would balance the lore a little bit. Like WoW did to Death Knights and Demon Hunters, "use the power of the enemy against themselves".

Apparently there's one more class from development that didn't make it into the original release alongside Warden, so there's a possibility.

Well the BG is already live. And as far as I know there is no other gaming mode that community is asking for.

So yeah a new class is a must if they want to sell the new chapter.

No because the Warden didnt go over well with very many people. I love it and we have a second choice for tank again but Pvp hates them because the are over powered and PvE hates them because they are under powered. And some are made because their favorite class isn't what it used to be, so they'll just feel even more ignored if there's another new class.

I'm hoping they just add none of that and cut the price in half and call it a day. But you raise an interesting point. If they plan to charge $40 for it again what are they going to add to justify this price if there is no new class or BG type feature?

Depends on if the new “chapter” is considered an expansion or just dlc. If its an expansion then we should probably see a new class. If its just dlc, then no. Since the Morrowind expansion just came out last year, I would be surprised to see another one this soon. So I’m guessing this is dlc and therefore no new class.

Well a lot of PVPers have been asking for some kind of ranked dueling arena, so there's that. Not that I think ZOS will actually include something like that in the next chapter.

As for what I expect, I don't think they'll include a new class. ZOS knows that it'll set a bad precedent to have their first two chapters include new classes, then the community will always expect a new class with every chapter and there could be a lot of backlash when they don't. Also warden was in the works for a long time, so I think they just wanted to get the content out so that it wasn't sitting in developmental purgatory anymore.

For this chapter, I expect a bunch of smaller additions instead of a whole new class. Since it's all but confirmed to be taking place on Summerset Isles, I'd love to see some changes that benefit magicka users. Maybe a necromancy skill line, a 1H + rune weapon skill line, jewelry crafting, or even some form of spell crafting. I also really hope they take the opportunity to fix the horrible implementation of magicka tanking with frost staves, and 1H + rune would be a great skill line to properly set up magicka tanking. Oh and a new solo challenge or 2-person challenge with more random elements would be top notch. vMA is boring.

Considering the old data mines and older photos from around Morrowind was in Beta I would much rather and think it would be more likely if we saw a new weapon skill line with One handed & Rune. A melee magicka weapon. I think that is something a lot of people would appreciate.

That's something I would want. Tired of lugging around the staves as a magicka damage dealer.

Zos did set the bar that something would be included in chapters for added value, but it would not be possible for Zos to come out with a new class each year.

It is more likely to be something like a new skill line (think spell crafting) or a new weapon.

So very doubtful Necromancer class will be added this year, if ever.

The balance is perfectly unbalanced now.
You want best PVP class - buy morrowind.
You want best PVP weapons - buy Clockwork City.
You want best PVE weapons - buy Orsinium.

It looks quite balanced to me.

*(Spoiler Alert)best PVE class is on its way.

    I think it's unlikely, for 3 reasons:

    1) As other people have already said the warden was left over from before release. They didn't have the time/inclination to finish it then but could do as part of the expansion. As far as we know it was the only class they dropped during development, so they'd be starting from scratch this time.

    2) They probably wouldn't want to set up an expectation that every expansion will come with a new class, because then they're under pressure to add 1 every expansion. And even if they can design and build one each time that would quickly get silly if they stick to 1 expansion a year.

    3) At this point I suspect a new skill line (that all classes can use) and/or new weapons would actually be more popular. Plus that way they can tie it into the theme of the expansion. Apart from some of the animals involved the warden seems to have very little to do with Vardenfell.

PVP-ers can gather together and organize their ranked tournaments using dueling feature. Just seen a 5 million gold PVP tournament footage freshly posted on youtube - I don't think ZOS can organize anything more appealing than that.

As for what I expect, I don't think they'll include a new class. ZOS knows that it'll set a bad precedent to have their first two chapters include new classes, then the community will always expect a new class with every chapter and there could be a lot of backlash when they don't. Too late - they already set a bad precedent by introducing chapters with locked in buy to win features in order to make it sell.
If they don't add a strong buy to win feature in the next chapter it won't sell.

Most of the features you are talking about here are more suited for the base game - people won't buy the chapter for base game features.

I think ZOS made a big mistake by adding chapters - lots of subs unsubed - as the main perk of ESO+ having access to every corner of the game is gone. Also ZOS had to add OP sets/classes to sell chapter - the bad precedent is there already.

Best way to fix it is to acknowledge that "Chapter" was a mistake - make it a DLC and available to ESO+ members.
And APOLOGIZE to all ESO+ members that the promise of having access to all future releases was broken!

I would rather see new skill lines.

    LIKE:
    -Spears
-Spell Swords (1h weapon and 1h spellcast)
-Necromancy (they have to add it after putting in that Necromancer personality with Dragon Bones DLC)
-Some form of Unarmed, Monk type fighting style.

I think with Spell crafting still in the works ZOS needs to ask if they should go for a more traditional Elder Scrolls Skill Lines.
I think there are alot of people that would prefer having the classic magic skill lines put in over having them separated through the class system.

... Wardens are a relict of pre-release times. They were hold back and therefore are not really a "new" class.

But if you ask if I want to see one, than my answer would differ.

people are ignorant of this fact and or are in denial. Not new, re-hashed code.

I'm not certain the current "ZOS" is capable of new code.

While I agree with everything you've said, I also would have expected things like BGs, transmutation, etc. to be base game features. I wouldn't put it past ZOS to lock things like necromancy and jewelry crafting behind the "chapter" paywall.
