Sharing pledges while avoiding exploits

To start off, like some I'm sure, I've been in many situations where I join a dungeon group with activity finder where some bosses needed for the pledge are already defeated and we end up finishing the last boss. This creates two problems. One, if you stay to finish with the group they most likely will not rerun just to help you. They're not bad people for it but then again neither are you if you refuse to only be rewarded partly by leaving and being given a 15 min penalty on top of that. Second, when you do decide to rerun the dungeon, what do you do after you beat your needed bosses? For example, why would you fight velidreth hard mode again after dranos? You can't really say at the start you just need 2 bosses because they might just kick you to find someone who will run the whole instance(nothing wrong there) but if you leave midway you're leaving people stranded and the cycle might not stop for a while. If you could shared pledges, none of this would ever occur.

Now, with this idea I know the rebuttal will be about ill intentioned players switching characters and so forth. To counter that, upon joining the dungeon the first time(with account), the quest could be shared only once with the account thus the character with which the player entered. It would work in a sense like items you can't place in a bank (ex: transmute geodes). In short, the pledge would be sharable only once for the character of the late player joining this specific instance thus unsharable to other characters of the same account. Something somewhat similar is already being used; ex: after a dungeon you can only trade gear with the other members who were with you.

In the end, this is just a proposed solution to a frustrating blind spot in how progress works. Instead of simply complaining about it I figured I'd offer an alternative.

Happy gaming to all

They just need to give people auto-complete on the pledge if they kill last boss together tbh. Randoms already work that way, pledges should, too.

...also what do you mean why would you fight Velidreth?! Who doesn't like that snuggly beauty? :D

As a kind-of workaround (and I'm pretty sure this is ok...), if it's an easier dungeon you can kill the bosses you missed on Normal and as long as you did the Vet HM version of the final boss it'll give you full credit for the pledge. Far from optimal, but if it's something like BC1 I usually just end up soloing it or dragging a friend in up to the boss I needed.

Your suggestion is something that definitely something that'd be appreciated, though.

You should just get the pledge if you finish a final boss with group finder. I could care less if silly people use it for exploits. They're welcome to being silly people for cheating at a game, and it's only daily pledges anyway.

It's a pisser to get dropped on final in a dlc dungeon. Don't really want to run any of those twice in one day. It does make you want to just take the 15 min penalty. That doesn't help anyone.
