ff14 does it with ps4 and pc, and I know Microsoft lifted something that prevented this for xbox.

There is a pc transfer to console one time but idk if it is still available, maybe someone could tell us if that is still available.

Currently PlayStation was the hold up not Xbox....while Xbox is open to it, it seems only Xbox, PC and Nintendo are possible
Technically we could have PC and PS4
Seperately PC and Xbox One
Not for certain if Steam would automatically be considered with PC or if those would be separate however some possibilities do exist but ZOS recently said it’s not something they intend to offer (officially 2017)

This is correct. Xbox and PC have some cross platform games, and Microsoft "exclusives" now tend to include both Xbox and PC. Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, has said he is open to cross platform gaming including Playstation but Sony only seems to care about themselves and not gamers.

How quickly we forget. Sony has had cross-platform play for the PS2 in 2002 with FFXI. Do you know why FFXIV isn't on Xbox? Because Microsoft wouldn't allow it to be cross-play with PC. Do you know why Warframe was on PS4 long before Xbox? Because Microsoft was not open to cross-play with PC and Sony was when Digital Extremes was still deciding how to handle the PS4 developement (it ended up not being cross-play but that was DE's choice, Sony was all for it).
There is a long history of cross-play for Sony and almost none for Microsoft. While I agree that Sony's recent excuse is pretty bad they are also dominating the online console market right now so having cross-play with Xbox would only hurt their profits. They have better exclusives, a larger user base, and cross-play with PC when needed. The fact that Sony doesn't want cross-play with Microsoft is just good business for them and it's what MS has been doing to them for years.
And just to be clear I have been gaming on Xbox since early 2002. It was only when MS was forcing the kinect on the Xbox One that I begrudgingly purchased my first PlayStation console, the PS4. So tell me again how MS only cares about the gamers and how Sony is the one holding back cross-play since 2002. Sure, it would be fantastic to have console cross-play but don't blame Sony for sticking it to MS for once.
PC players will totally destroy console players at the point that the last ones will probably end up leaving the game...

And here I was thinking we are the same....well actually take add-one away and console players are better one would argue.
At least on Xbox one we had the first perfect Vmsa run on a night blade with the fastest time for a while. Also some good PvE guilds but no idea on PvP....I personally would welcome PC and Xbox with open arms if we get the PC user interface That i miss a lot
You might be surprised what years of playing with no assistance does to gamers. With much less buttons and less accessory options.

Guild trader pricing, proper buff timers, outfit/gear/skill changers, customizable UI, customizable button mapping (even when using a controller), etc. It's not that ZOS hasn't added some of these things already, it's that add-ons just do them way better.

It was a general observation, not a personal request. Even as a non-PvPer on PC who doesn't use add-ons it seemed to me that cross-platform PvP wouldn't be a level playing field.

I think anyone who thinks a PC player can't simply spend a few days getting use to the controls on console and dominate, or a console player can't just do the same on PC has some pretty serious blinders on.
Player skill transcends whatever platform you are playing on. If you suck on PC, you will also suck on console. If you suck on console you will also suck on PC.
edit: and for addons, it would take me less than a day to get use to not having them.
