I'm unfortunate, and will take any donations to help a lowly Orc out... (ps4 na) :)

Wait this works, ok then hey guys, can I have a million gold PS NA ID in sig. Much appreciated  tho AD and DC couldn't afford it anyway

I've made 34k so far begging playing the Orc card. How do I change my vote cuz... I'm no longer broke? This Orc can rhyme too.

Currently 3,4 million, just finished purchasing the last hotr motifs - these and housing related items can really dry you up. Probably got 2-2,5 worth of mat in the bag too, i don't have a hard-on on gold farming.

Here is a quote of ZOS from August 2017:
    code65536 wrote: »
He's unlikely to respond, but I'll try anyway to summon @ZOS_RichLambert so he can provide stats on how much gold the top 1% have.

Seeing as I was looking at this stuff just now anyways (total gold for an account with at least 1 level 50)...
    • XB1 - 90th percentile - 412k gold
    • PS4 - 90th percentile - 459k gold
    • PC - 90th percentile - 890k gold

It's not the top 1%, but it gives you an idea.

It's only been about 5 months since this post but I guess the current real data about gold amount per account is probably similar to the above quote.
According to the poll in this thread about 48%* are at 1 million gold or more.
But if looking on the information provided by ZOS in August 2017 you could see how different are the results.
I thought this information may interest anyone who is looking for real numbers.

About trading guilds. I'm in 4 of them, 3 of which have well placed traders and minimum sales requirements between 30-50K/week. I am a mid tier trader in those guilds, between positions 100 and 20 out of 500 in any given week and sales are 0.1%-0.2% of total sales according to MM. If I have 30M+ without breaking a sweat, imagine how much gold people who place in the first 10, and even first 50 in those guilds. There are people who play this game as a trading game, and spend most of their time just farming and flipping stuff. They may have hundreds of millions, but they're missing out on much of the game. If you constantly surf obscure guild kiosks for bargains and run laps trough Vvardenfell opening all chests of a chance at Buoyant Armiger pages you'll probably have little time to run dungeons, trials, or PvP regularly. There isn't simply enough time in a day to do them all, and even if you just sleep and play, and you don't do any chores or a full time job you'll still drop from exhaustion after playing 16h+ over a few days; after several hours of doing mind numbing chores you'll probably not be concentrated enough to play a veteran trial and screw up as a result. In fact in this game time is much more precious than gold. Just as any economic good, gold has diminishing marginal value, both IRL and in a simulated economy, like in a game. After you have several millions, you have gotten a few houses, most motifs, upgraded all inventory slots, gilded multiple sets of BiS gear, there's simply no reason to spend your time making more gold on top of that, since time will always have a higher marginal value than gold, materials or other resources that can be bought with it.

That's it right there. Gold has seriously diminished value in this game over a certain level. The most I have every payed for any single item was 1 million gold (totally aesthetic), and next after that was about 350k each for my desert rose shields once upon a time. In other words, once you get into the 7 or low 8 figures, there really isn't anything you cant do our buy. Over that, and you are playing a game within a game to see how big you can get the number. Not a game I am terribly interested in playing, but hey, to each their own.

Will be giving away 1m to the first 20 people (50k each) to find me on the 20th of this month at 8pm GMT on the PC EU server while on the character in my sig. Will be questing and exploring so those who find me and initiate trade will get rewarded.

Have too much already and it's sitting there doing nothing so may as well give it to people who can make use of it.

Poll needs more options. 2 mil is basically what I bring in on a slow week.
