Arenthia's stables in Reaper's March is like 4 meters from the wayshrine, but you have to do the quest in Arenthia first

davon's watch is very close as well...both are south of the city, just outside the gate

I like snugpod for my alts who just log in to feed the horse.
I also like VG inn room because after feeding the horse the wayshrine is right there to go off questing.

The problem with Snugpod is you've got a load screen to get into it, and another to get out. That eats up what time you save by being close.

I think Stormhold and Vivec City are the easiest, closest stables to wayshrines.

I would have to agree on the Stormhold thing - not only is the stables right next to the wayshrine, the stablemaster is -also- standing right in front of it for easier access.

Vukhel Guard stables are almost as close, but the stablemistress there is usually hanging out in the back of the stables... so more distance to your daily riding lesson.

Rawl'kha will dissapoint people looking for that sort of closeness, since the bank is between wayshrine and stables. Arenthia stables is closer, about Stormhold distance - but as mentioned, there is questing to be done before the city is freed - and of copurse the place has little else in way of infractructure.

Abah's Landing and Vivec City are both pretty decent on the stables distance, I suppose, though not everyone has access to DLCs/Expansions of course. Also, some of the other places are a bit annoying (bank in Abahs Landing or dye station in Vivec City for example)

Most other cities are... okay... more or less, and some are really, really annoying on the stable distance situation (cough, Riften, cough)

Most mentioned are great - though I tend to hit Rawl'kha as the bank and other amenities are all so close versus in some of the other ones mentioned, a bit more of a trip from the stables.

Rawl'kha has everything close by. Best little town in the game.

Stormhold has argonian influence in it so it doesn't count, vivec or auridon are nice
