Better Fishing

I do a bit of fishing, but nothing like I have in other mmo's... I think that's because it's not like or near fishing in the other's, Being rewarded and having such a fun time. I don't want to put much into this just to say you know what we need to going fishing with and I am asking for that. Just think! Fishing kit, "poles, chairs, gear & rewards"

I fished in wow! but that was sometime ago I now play eso and I think we could have a really awesome fishing system added to the game! I am going to talk about it for awhile to see if zos can just look into it for us, I am a laid back player so that would be some time to chill while on my down time. I would love to be able to catch a mount or a fishing chair or for achievements that reward the items. You gave us ESO now we need fishing, this can be the best game ever if we get the things needed to improve it. A better fishing system is simple put, needed... I dont want to tell you how to do it but more than ask if you will, I think you all do a great job so if you give us better fishing in the game it will be just that.

I would like a whole fishing line added to the game.

More fish per hole
Better chance for rare fish
Double drops from fishing on each cast
Better chance to get perfect roe

Would also like fishing to feel more real, I want my cast to matter I want to fight with the fish. Would like the time of day to matter and what fish appear at night or day. With this added to the game I want the rewards to be better at the same time.

We could also just add different fishing poles say...

1.better chance at rare fish
2.can use bait twice
3.deep sea fishing pole(have better chance at roe)
4.only catches normal fish

Than they can make it so we can fish from our house! Just make it you can fish any where the schools are for more of a rare chance! WE are just thinking out loud here

Yeah, fishing in this game is in a pretty sorry state, it could really use some revamping.

The best fishing I have experienced in an MMO game was Vanguard. The game had plenty of issues, but some of the concepts were done very well. Crafting and fishing were two things that you good spend an entire session doing and still find enjoyable.

I actually love fishing in bdo, I don't mean the fishing crowds at the hot spots, more the awesome feeling of sailing out to a distant calm island with a couple guildies, and just sit there speaking for a couple hours fishing, 1 guy might dive down gather a few pearls or so, in general you just chill on an island doing relaxing not combat related stuff while being rewarded, this wasn't a very efficient way for us to fish but it was just amazing, sadly a system like bdo's would be crap in eso

This is what I prefer about World of Warcraft. If you can get the lure into the water, you can catch a fish. That goes up when there is a school of fish that you can drop into. It is much better system than what ESO has.

Nice to see there is even more interest.

On a side note: I just started fishing in Clockwork City and was happy to see unique "non-rare" fish added to the game. Very minor but a nice touch none-the-less.

Oh this I like. fishing is lack luster at the moment. I wish they wld add some rare motif pages in fishing as well, I think this wld get more plp to fish da fish.

A skill line would be nice. And instead of fishing poles, since there is no fishing pole item, how about gear sets?

Getting the Master Angler title was the most boring thing in ESO. It needs more.

Fishing with a group of people that your on Voice Chat with is fun and rewarding. You get 4 or 5 players hitting a hole at once, the Trophy Fish just jump onto your line.

Fishing by myself, after about 10 casts I want to do anything else.

It would be nice if the caught baits upped your chance of catching a rare fish or caused you to catch two fish at once instead of doing nothing. I mean why are they even there?

Fishing definitely needs to be revamped. I'm still sitting on 11/15 main zones completed yet I still have no enthusiasm to finish it. So damn boring

if ZOS brought out a craftable set that buffed fishing I could at least see it being used at least at some point . Which is better than half the sets available that remain unused many years in.
I agree it could use some kind of buff though.

As much as I hate fishing in ESO I do not want them to make it more engaging or interesting. I have now started to watch netflix while I fish, so as much as it sucks in game, I have found a way to make it interesting, however making the system more advanced would make the base experience of fishing more enjoyable, but not the overall experience

Specialist rods for different fishing types.

Also, would be nice if we could make flies/lures.

These items could give a better chance of catching rares
