So every character gets one outfit slot - but what exactly does one slot entail? Is it the 7 clothing + 2 weapon pieces or 7 clothin + 4 weapon pieces and will i always have to wear the outfited weapons in conjunction with the clothing to get the effect or will i be able to use them independently? If i'd just apply and outfit to one weapon would this consume a whole slot? I don't really understand how weapons interact with the clothing?

It's 7 clothing and whatever is on your front and back bar, I saw the separate switch.

You could probably change to a different fire staff and it will remain the same skin wise, but changing your staff to a sword it may mess it up.
    Hoping for more playable races

It's on the PTS, why not play around with it?

@Nemesis7884 you will always get to customize your back bar weapon(s) in one outfit template. So, that’s 7 + 4 = 11, yes.

If you have sword & board on back bar, and then change to restoration staff, you’ll lose the motif style and dyes on the backbar outfit template.

You will have to pay a minimal amount of gold to redo the dye for the restoration staff on the outfit template (currently 500g on PTS). That’s only if you don’t like the default crafted colors of the staff ... in most cases red for CP160.

If you don’t want the crafted/dropped style native to the staff to show in the outfit template, you can change it to any crafted style for additional gold depending on the style.

You can customize as little or as much as you want on one outfit template. I have a screenshot below of my Bosmer Stamina Nightblade where I only changed the weapon dyes of the Ravager Greatsword. Everything else showing is the default crafted gear and gold dyes ... so these slots are all blank on the outfit template.
