DK Healer

Recently back after a super long break from the game... I really want to make DK healing work. I mean, it sort of works for PvP. Worst part is going to be getting BiS gear because no one will take a dk heal for trials anything. There's not much out there, theory wise, to work on builds and stuff but also it doesn't really seem like there's anything special going on for them. Resto skills and igneous spam. I like the play style and how It seems more "active" if that's the right word. Warden is alright, unsure about Templar.

I'm not really sure if I'm even asking anything. I know there's at least one of you out there!... Maybe...

Keep the dream alive!

The thing about ignious sheilds spam as a dk healer is that you will be playing with dk tanks most of the time, that is just facts, and you will be over riding their shield with your sheilds. Like a 10k-15k sheild for your 2 -3k sheild. Till they fix this or figure out a way to have it stack that is not op, you will not see a lot of dk healers.

Check out the set "trinimacs valor" from orsinium, seems like a greak DK heal set.
I am busy with my warden stam healer atm, otherwise I would have tried it already
Warden Main apparently... 7 Wardens currently, otherwise a healer of every class.
Mostly active in No CP PVP on EU, blaming the buffbot meta in pve.
I want to feel like I am saving somebodies life, not like I am carrying amunition for them...

The thing about trinimac is that the proc is per cast and not per sheild so having igneous shields give 4 shields is the same as just casting harness.

I'm not sure about trials, but i have healed my guild mates through vet Mazzatun on my mag dk. I had my DPS gear on and my cp was also allotted for DPS. I just switched to resto and lightning staff.

I basically laid down elemental blockade, eruption, and engulfing flames, and then would buff with combat prayer and rapid regen. I use healing ward as my emergency heal, although healing springs was what I use most often. molten armaments as well. I'm not saying you'll be a top raid healer, but as far as 4 man content goes, mdk healer is fine. If you don't have a tank providing Pierce Armor, make sure to slot ele drain. Oh, and energy orbs works wonders if you're group actually activates synergies. I find when pugging, orbs are a waste. People rarely take em.

i have been able to clear all dungeon content with 1 tank and 3 dps. healers arent really necessary if the dps plow through the mechanics

however, mag dk healers can work in anything but end game vet trials.

ive seen mag dk healers, they have no burst heal like a templar and have to solely rely on resto abilities. as long as you put out springs and combat prayer, thats all thats necessary

you were unsure about templar healers, they are still best in the business. look at top leaderboard scores for vet trials, pretty much all templars, maybe a few wardens

I love my MagDK Healer in PVP. I'm not a full healer the way a templar or warden can be, but I'm more of a support healer. Resto staff has great AOE heals and the DK is tanky enough to survive in the heat of large battles.

This is really weird but I was on about a DK healer build with my mate earlier. I’ve looked before and could only ever find the below build as a viable option however it’s a little outdated now

    http://esoacademy.com/builds/magicka-dragon-knight-healer/

To make the DK viable as a healer (maybe not for trials but at least Vet Dungeons what kind of CP would work best and would the gear in the link be viable still or maybe go for Templar Healer BiS gear?

Skills I’m guessing would either be the link or what was mentioned in this thread or a combo of both.

I’d really like this to work as something different. I was also thinking maybe use Dunmer (for the radial passives and also cos I have a think for Dunmer).

Just brainstorming of course and would like to see where we can go with this.
    I'm a Dunmer DK Damage Dealer - My that's a lot of D's
