While I like the options, it seems they messed up.
It would’ve been better if after the first normal start, you got captured along your journeys.

Just bothers me and the skill point thing

In my personal opinion I do think they messed up on the intros in ESO.
I know that they wanted the new player base to be introduced to Vvardenfel but the storyline can be confusing now.
The question of what happens first has been a slight problem.

That is why I skip the tutorial, abandon anything Morrowind related and go straight to Coldharbor. I prefer to play the game and DLCs in order of release. It builds up more organically that way.

On a side note: there is also the issue of creating an ever changing and evolving world in ESO. Is Molag Bal invasion in Imperial City going to go on forever? Will storylines in base game zones change? A topic for another thread but it is something to think about

On a product view they will be advertising the next chapter, that might include a cinematic trailer like we had before with Vvardenfel. If they are going to do a new tutorial then yes it would be cool to pick where you start the game, like the zone map is highlighted and the player picks where in the world they want their character to start....would be a cool option.

Also when other chapters (or new land mass expansions in the future) happen, this could be just literally clicked into that system and just add a new starting point to it.

We should choose. But if we will not, the beginning needs to be changed. I do no want to stuck on Vvardenfell forever.

Started a new toon on a new region post Morrison's and its weird. Tutorial just sint the same, posted straight to Devons watch on the 2nd one.

Feels like they try to justify a DLC being a chapter by changing tutorial, and loading screen. For me Orsiniym was a better actual zone with more meaning.

I'm more interested in what else comes as warden and battlegrounds was of more of a selling point last time

I'm all for additional tutorial zones, which I'll always play, but I need the option of which one to start at, personally.

Starting off in Vvardenfell I swell, and I believe overall because of how the coldharbour angle occurs now and the lack of anchors in Vvardenfell it now occurs prior to Molag Bal and his invasion (provided you stay on Vvardenfell and see it through before moving on) or after if you've done the main quests and then move on to Vvardenfell.

But for new characters that I have a set idea in mind for? Constantly starting at Vvardenfell (which I one and doned and somewhat don't care to ever do again) hinders me, as does starting in the wailing prison over and over. Though, at least with Vvardenfell I can play it off with "I was on my way to [insert region here] so I could [find the brotherhood, join the thieves guild, visit my homeland, etc] and got shipwrecked. Now that I'm free and okay I can find a navigator and resume my original journey" and thus skip all the main Vvardenfell stuff.

Having multiple options would do wonders for immersion on specific characters.

After Buying new chapter you should have an option when you create new character to chose the way you want to start the game. Also - 1 additional skill point exclusive for post Morrowind characters in simply unfair.

For one of my characters I decided that Morrowind happens before the other events.
For everyone else it is the opposite

They shouldn't waste time on it unless they just made 1 good one and kept that, Being able to change would be worse since it would confuse new players who the tutorials are there to help.

I think the new tutorial with Morrowind was a big thing for immersing new players and introducing characters. I fully expect them to continue the trend.

I feel like it adds to the lore of the character that you made during specific times during the game. So yeah Definitely need another noob island

I wouldn't mind having a new tutorial for each chapter, but if they do that I really want to be able to choose which one I get, and be able to do the others later like we can with Coldharbour.

Kind of like the way Guild Wars 1 did it. Because each of their expansions was designed to work as a stand-alone game they pretty much had to have a separate tutorial for each one. But if you owned 2 or 3 of them when you created a new character you got to choose which campaign they started in and therefore which tutorial you got, and could then do an abridged version of the other two when you went to that campaign (it just taught you the new mechanics, like how to control NPC party members, rather than going through all the details of combat).

Of course that was apparently one of the things that made the studio give up on their original game and make a sequel - it was getting to be too much work to put in a new tutorial each time, and other things to accommodate low level characters in new maps like trying to make the enemies easy enough that the newbies could beat them, but also somehow interesting for experienced players. Maybe ZOS wouldn't consider it a problem to have to make a new tutorial each time, or maybe they'll find a way around it. But it wouldn't surprise me if sooner or later they drop that and pick 1 point for all new characters to start at.

A new fully fleshed tutorial that can explain many mechanics like proper attribute distribution, item sets, races, classes, roles, abilities etc. also be somehow very immersive would be amazing to see, as well as the ability to choose where you start, be it Coldharbour, Firemoth Island or a new place entirely.

With Summerset starting new characters in the latest chapter this again becomes a relevant discussion
How to go about Introducing your character into the world and proceeding with the story
Sure you can go anywhere but the story only makes sense f you go in the order of content release

    Your Alliance & Coldharbor
Imperial City (if you want to PvP)
Craglorn (if you have a group to play with)
    Orsinium
    Thieves Guild
    Dark Brotherhood
    Shadows of the Hist
    Morrowind
    Horns of the Reach
    Clockwork City
    Summerset
    Wolfhunter

Believe it or not the dungeos actually do contain hints at the greater story going on in Tamriel.
After Orsinium which hinted at a Daedric War, Shadows of the Hist further hinted at this with Mephala
