There is a strong accent on necromancy in the Fang Lair (new dung) with new dlc - necromancer class?

There’s no reason not to. Necromancers aren’t inherently evil first of all; that’s the worm cult. Second, they’ve already given us the ability to be necromancers with the undead reaper mounts (in the animation, we literally raise them up from the ground), the necromancer sigils, and even a necromancer personality. The only thing we can’t do, as the necromancers that we are, is call upon them for combat.

No game has had necromancy as prevalent as ESO, no game with necromancy nearly as prevalent as in ESO has not had a necromancer class.

These guys are too busy coming up with Crown Crate and overpriced Crown Store shams as a way to fool us out of our money, instead of cashing in on what's been right in front of them this entire time.
Meanwhile, 2017 was the year of the Necromancer with Blizzard and a bunch of other popular games touching on the theme and making good money off of it.

seeing people begging for their necros...its amusing how they fail to comprehend that as long as Sorcs have a pet dedicated skill line there will be no other class based around pets...unless Zo$ will rework SORCS and trust me...the amount of hate they will get for literally breaking the current sorcs it will be by far larger than any amount of money all casuals combined can bring...and yes im a nb player only so I don't think its a good idea...even tough I despite sorcs and id love to see them stepped with a boot...or who knows perhaps Zo$ is planning a new big update that's giving us (finally) some class revamp? doubt it.

Being a pet class doesnt necessarily mean clunky pets with low AI. Instead, they can be like Warden shalks, betty netch or Nightblade shades.

Yeah but no chapter is going to appeal to everyone. Vvardenfell is my least favorite story xpac so far since my interest in dunmer culture is nil, but that doesn't mean it doesn't appeal to a huge variety of players.

    Yes pls to necromancer.

It would make sense for them. Spend the last year down grading spell effects and flat out removing them to increase performance.

Just to add a class that revolves around pets.

I suppose they would have to tie it in with a chapter to put it on par with Morrowind... I'm most excited to see the Altmer homeland and I have no problem with them implementing Necromancer if that's what people really want, I would just rather have something more oriented with Altmer culture with the Summerset Isle chapter but I'm still a Lore Amateur so what do I know lol...

I can do with it or without it, but if the class gets added I will certainly play it.

I hope for a control line, not just a pet line, like D2's Decrepify and the like (Curses/Hexes/Whateveryoucallit).

I am kinda of the mind it shouldn't be named Necromancer. I kinda like Bonelord (from within the game).

Why is everyone so stuck on necromancers????

Whats the obsession with animating dead stuff? The whole point of killing things is to make them dead and move on...
    I love necromancers as enemies, they make great enemies, being despicable with no prior explanation;

Theres a huge difference between summoners (daedra worshippers etc....) and bringing back Aunt Josephine who'se in an advanced state of decomposition to fight (what exactly? I mean Aunt Josephine will get beaten by a 3 year old with a stick....)...

So many other classes that could be in this game other than necromancer.
    http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Classes

The following classes exist in ES and not in ESO (Sorcerers and Nightblades are both longtime ES classes):
    Acrobat
    Agent
    Archer
    Assassin
    Barbarian
    Bard
    Battlemage
    Burglar
    Crusader
    Healer
    Knight
    Mage
    Monk
    Pilgrim
    Ranger
    Rogue
    Scout
    Spellsword
    Thief
    Warrior
    Witchhunter

While I'll agree that a bunch of these get covered by the 3 new classes in ESO (Warden, Templar, Dragonknight), Necromancers have NEVER been a playable class in any ESO game because the game has always hinted it as being immoral and bad. AKA, Necromancers suck and we beat them up because most people enjoy killing necros. Also because summoning does not mean necromancy and is a magic school for which Sorcerers and Mages are predisposed to.

I sure hope not. Necromancy in its self is an evil class. You are not conjuring something out of magic like what the Sorc does with his pets, creating daedra to fight with. Necromancy involves desecrating the dead. raising the fallen to fight for you. Doesn't seem very hero like to me. Also Mannimarco holds the title of most powerful necromancer in all of Nirn ;D

Considering necromancy has been an evil in the game since it launched it seems highly unlikely the dungeons indicate anything though I can see some would want to read things into it.

Besides, it's even more unlikely a new class would be added in a dlc.

Rather than adding a necromancer class, it would be more interesting to add it as a skill line for sorcerers. This would allow them to fix some of the shortcomings of each class:

Necromancy (sorcerer): resurrecting enemies and transfering health from enemies to heal allies
Spelblade (templar): dps focused, adding extra effects to melee weapons to enhance stamina dps
Dragons blood (dragonknight): healing focused, adding some non-staff healing spells

Don't have any ideas for nightblades (already really thematically focussed on one single thing) and wardens (3 skill lines that cover all the roles quite well)

Necromancy by the PC makes sense in a single player game but much less in a multiplayer. We already have two summoner classes. What would the new one summon? Dead PCs? I don't see much of a difference between Daedra and Undead from a gameplay perspective. I've heard they were planning such a class in Alpha but merged it into Sorcerer. And the more classes they add the less identity they have overall.

Well technically, you aren't creating Daedra to fight with; you're summoning them from Oblivion, which traditionally in TES lore has been considered (almost) as bad as necromancy. Daedra summoning lead to the Oblivion Crisis after all, and was cracked down upon hard after that, although attitudes towards it have varied throughout time and depending on the area you're in.

Necromancy isn't/wasn't always seen as wholly evil, either. In the 4th era, it is tolerated at the College of Winterhold. The resident Master of Conjuration (Phinis Gestor) is openly a Necromancer who calls it "a tool like any other".
