Warden Winter Embrace PVP

Anyone knows if the utility of this tree is good in pvp? I found some frost mage builds, but no tank builds.... my idea is create some utility tank, to snare and debuff group of players.

I'm not sure if you are being ironic, but I think that tree is more an utility tree than dps.

Maybe I'm wrong.... we need people with experience with warden that can tell us.

Depends on what you are doing but Winter's Embrace is a highly used skill Tree. As a group utility tank the Warden is a force multiplier. Ice Fortress buffs are substantial. Gripping shards is a spammable AOE immobilize. Crystallized shield both morphs helps greatly with survivability. Sleet Storm is a useful AOE ultimate that provides damage reduction for group and helps restrict the enemy movement while providing some damage. It's very useful for groups despite being outshined by OP destro ulti. I've not found much use for Polar wind and frozen gate but I've seen some videos of Health builds using it to nice effect and I suppose frozen gate has it's uses but hasn't really been an ability that is much use for our group.

Most of the mmos i have played, a pet type job tends to be misunderstood because people always look at damage and damage only and do not realize the utility a job may bring.

For example I have a stamina warden and i can run either bow/bow or dual/bow. It may not bring the most damage but its self sufficient if you put on the stamina heal and can backup emergency heal if need be.

being its spammable is ranged and with bow you can keep out of some aoe range and save a lot of magika the healer has for the tank and melee DD.

Add the ice fortress and even vines can bring a lot to a party one a longer fight. Sure you may not kill as fast but at least you will survive.

@Waffennacht , did they ever confirm that explicitly? I always thought it was weird how that tree leveled markedly faster.

i really wish they had an ice spammable in that tree. Like you toss frozen penguins or something
