This Set is gonna be the meta for healers in 2018.

4 seconds of additional Major Force is hard to beat with the sets available at this time.

40% buff to all buffs.. how many allies anyone know? early, but to me that's sounds crazy

Certainly sounds like a good contender for pairing with spc. But to play devil's advocate.

    - The increased duration for Major force from warhorn would nice, but is it worth over other sets in a well coordinated trial?
    - Would the increased duration for combat prayer be worth instead of just reapplying?
    - Will spc be considered a major/minor buff and therefore be applied to as well?

Honestly, it does sound like an imminent shift in healer meta, but it seems to early to be jumping to conclusions.

Probably to as many allies as the buff normally covers.

Would this work with Minor Magicasteal and Minor Lifesteal too?

A 21 seconds siphon spirit could be worth it over Elemental Susceptibility and with the Off Balance change, it might be time to drop the Elemental Blockade LIghtning Staff healer Meta for more creative builds.

    What are the choices?
    • Dual resto? Why?
    • Lightning staff? Still get Elemental Blockade damage, some part of the old conditions benefit, damage boost to shards (if templar), etc.
    • Inferno staff? Buff single-target damage (Purifying Light if templar, Jesus Beam if templar, Funnel Health if nightblade, etc.) I'm tempted to that one for my Dunmer nightblade.
    • Sword & Board? Unless off-tanking, why?
    • Ice staff? Ditto.

    Another question:

Could this be single-barred? My initial thought is that a significant fraction of the benefit could be lost. But I've always been tempted by the idea of single-barring SPC, and of course anybody who farms SPC quickly gets a lightning staff in the set.

On the other hand -- the point of single-barring two five-piece sets would be to make room for a monster set. Which monster set would be worth the trouble?

It says Major and Minor buffs... isnt SPC a armor buff which wouldnt be buffed by this set? Wouldnt it just buff major/minor brutality and so?

I've healed with sword and board before switching to the lightning meta for the longest time. It allowed me to squeeze in a monster set, and backbar SPC with frontbar Mending. The uptimes were not amazing (about 70% on SPC), but the Earthgore really helped in terms of providing a safety net for trials.

Was thinking Jorund with SPC, with a Master Resto and Asylum S&B could work. The magica management from slotting Absorb Magica on Asylum S&B would allow me to decrease some of the recovery to increase some of the spell damage. increase tankiness, or simply add an heroic slash in there for maim and ulti regen. At the very least it could mean that only one healer needs a lightning staff as opposed to two.

The biggest thing if it's Major/Minor only is that it doesn't buff the stat-increase part of Warhorn.

Doesn't need to, the stat bonus lasts 30 seconds which is long enough for someone else to have a warnhorn but the crit increase is only 8 seconds but this set would allow it to almost last 12.

Plus is the health bonus major toughness? That would mean your 10% health increase could last damn near 45 seconds. Idk sounds extremely useful. Plus elemental drain would be extended so that means less casting more focused healing.

Lost of benefits regardless if it only extends the duration rather the buff itself.

Ele drain is a debuff so it won't be extended.

At first glance running Master Architect and Jorvuld's seems the best use along with Light's Champion. In two casts, which costs less than a single warhorn, I get 14 seconds of major force and 28 seconds of major slayer on top of sufficient healing to where I could just focus on my own dps.

Compared to a single cast of warhorn which will net 11.2 seconds of major force plus the 10% stat increase for 30 seconds. But you would get to keep SPC if you don't go the Master Architect + Light's Champion route.

Not sure the extra buff time is so good ? Would it justify giving up another 5 sets bonus ? Not sure , really not sure. Would need some testing

Even if you just run SPC + Jorvuld's you'll get 3.2 seconds extra of major force. Multiply that by 8-9 dpsers and its a big group dps increase, bigger than anything else you could ever run.

It says buffs not debuffs. The set specifically entends the duration of the major and minor classified buffs. Ward, sorcery, brutality, evasion etc. Not debuffs like magicka steal or fracture etc.

Not likely, as these are effects on enemies and not ally buffs.

I really like the master architect/ guidance idea. I've already though of using this as a Warden tank too. There's nothing saying you can't have 2 Templar DPS using spc now. It's really not that big of a dps loss compared to Julianos and may result in a overall net DPS gain for the group.
