Hypothetical Bot Disruption

Asking for a friend...

Suppose you were farming resource nodes in Craglorn on your main character and saw an obvious bot (level 3, prison gear, pathing, stopping at empty nodes, etc.) along your normal route.

And suppose that in your farming you aggro'd some monsters nearby. And what if, in the chaos of battle with said monsters, they happen to cross the path of the bot. And what if, hypothetically, of course, the monsters aggro'd the bot and killed it.

Would that have any impact on the bot? Would the owner of said bot wake up in the morning expecting to find his bags overflowing with resources and instead find his dear bot standing at wayshrine?

Here's how I deal with bots that are near a Dolmen...
    Report first. Then...
I kill everything but the boss then drag the boss to the bot. Boss resets when bot dies. Repeat til bot gives up.
    Near WB... same thing.

Bot will spawn at the nearest wayshrine, like everyone else who dies in the game, then resume farming. They know how to get back to their path.

    Dammit. Oh well.

Does anyone know why a bot, when hypothetically run into aggressive mobs, actually tries to fight back? Did a human take over? or does it have attacking built into it's sequence?

I am not sure about that, but I suppose, there is no limit, what a bot can be programmed to be able to do.

They have a combat rotation programmed in, but it is very common for single bots to die. To be really effective, they need to be in a group. For this reason, they route around significant monsters and hostile NPCs, especially if farming crafting resource nodes. This routing is one way to detect bots vs humans when dealing with single bots harvesting resource nodes, if you know what to look for.
