ESO and Class Healing

The Elder Scrolls Online & Class Healing

I have listed all the class healing skills, organized by class and function. Below that is a quick summary of how each class can DPS while keeping itself alive while dealing uninterrupted DPS. After that I will describe my idea of a desirable group that would be able to get through veteran dungeons with ease, without ever having a dedicated healer.

Nightblades have:
Heal others- Funnel Health, Healthy Offering, Sap Essence, Soul Siphon, Refreshing Path, and Veil of Blades (Synergy heal).

Heal self- have Funnel Health, Healthy Offering, Sap Essence, Soul Siphon, Refreshing Path, Reaper's Mark, Killers Blade, Siphoning Attacks.


Templars have:
Heal others- Rememberance, Breath of Life, Hasty Prayer, Repentance, Extended Ritual, and Purifying Light.

Heal self- Rememberance, Breath of Life, Hasty Prayer, Repentance, Extended Ritual, and Purifying Light, Puncturing Sweep, and Radiant Glory.


Dragonknights have:
Heal others- Cauterize, and Obsidian Shard.

Heal self- Cauterize, Obsidian Shard, Burning Embers, Flame Lash, Green Dragon Blood, Inhale, Battle Roar passive.


Sorcerers have:
Heal others- Absorption Field and Twilight reactivation.

Heal self- Absorption Field, Twilight reactivation, Clanfear reactivation, Dark Deal, and Surge.


Wardens have:
Heal others- Secluded Grove, Fungal Growth, Healing Seed, Living Vines, Lotus Flower, Natures Grasp, and Polar Wind.

Heal self- Secluded Grove, Fungal Growth, Healing Seed, Living Vines, Lotus Flower, Natures Embrace and Polar Wind.


*This only covers class abilities. This does not cover powerful defensive effects that prevent large amounts of damage, healing from sources outside of classes, only healing. Sorcerers and Dragonknights are a little light on their ability to heal others, but every single class has sufficient self healing without including non-class sources.

Magicka Nightblades have the ability to self heal while dealing uninterrupted DPS from a range using Strife/Swallow Soul, and can even keep a decent team alive without going out of their DPS rotation to heal if they use Funnel Health and Refreshing Path. Sap Essence can be used to heal themselves and their team when a good AoE is needed.

Magicka Templars have the ability to self heal while dealing uninterrupted DPS in melee range using Puncturing Sweep, and even from a range during execution phase using Radiant Glory. Their self-healing spammable doubles as single target and AoE damage, making them easier to play for the casual player.

Magicka Dragonknights have the ability to self heal while dealing uninterrupted DPS in melee range using Burning Embers, and when applicable Flame Lash. Inhale can be used when a good self-healing AoE is needed.

Stamina and Magicka Sorcerers can use their respective morph of Surge for self healing, but unless you have a dedicated healer you may find yourself having to stop DPS to ward or heal.

Magicka Wardens don't really have the ability to self heal while dealing uninterrupted DPS, unless you count living vines. Living vines could choose to target an ally instead of yourself, making it a poor choice.

My suggested team composition for veteran dungeons-

Tank- Magicka Dragonknight
Tank must have abilities:
- Burning Embers, Inhale, Green Dragon Blood, Dark Talons, and Obsidian Shield.
- Your goal as the tank is to keep yourself alive, taunt the boss, and try to hold the adds in place.

DPS 1- Magicka Templar
DPS 1 must have abilities:
Puncturing Sweep, Radiant Glory, Elemental Blockade, Vampires Bane, Luminous Shards and Elemental Rage.
Your goal as DPS 1 is to clean up trash mobs and deal damage to the boss. By doing this you will auto-heal yourself with Puncturing Sweep

DPS 2- Magicka Sorcerer
DPS 2 must have abilities:
- Surge, Lightning Form, Lightning Splash, Mages Fury, Elemental Blockade (flame or lightning on this one), and Elemental Rage.
- Your goal as DPS 2 is to proc the concussed status effect as often as possible, all while cleaning up trash mobs and dealing damage to the boss. Lightning damage is your friend.

Healer- Magicka Nightblade
Healer must have abilities:
- Funnel Health, Refreshing Path, Sap Essence, Veil of Blades, and Elemental Drain.
- Your goal as healer is to deal as much DPS as possible while keeping your team alive, and keep elemental drain up on bosses. You can use Veil of Blades to alleviate pressure from the group when necessary. You can use Elemental Rage in place of Veil of Blades if you find you don't need it. You can add Impale during execute phase if you can remember to heal your team should they need it.
