Ancient Altar Stormhaven WB not clearing when defeated

My guild's group defeated the Ancient Altar world boss (the storm atronach) twice tonight. Both times I was able to loot the body, but myself and a couple other group members were not able to get the achievement. The world boss symbol remained black on my map, while I was able to clear each of the other 5 WBs in Stormhaven with no problems.

Has anyone else ran into this?

Ok, I just got the achievement standing directly underneath, as in the center of, the world boss icon on the map. I think when my group did it earlier, we had pulled the atronach too far away from the location for the achievement to trigger. Do you think the boss could possibly be moving too far away from the location, or is this the case with every boss? It seems like it can wander pretty far from the spawn location.
