Abolish AP and Emperors.

These are the 2 factors that are supposed to encourage people to play PvP, most people bought the game to PvP and never cared about AP or emperorship.

I understand that some people want to rank so AP is important and a decent incentive, emperorships are the worst part. I don't wanna even go there but...

1. Every night on EU EP bring guilds to zerg the newb server (Sotha) for emperor buffs. Not cool for newbs.
2. Every night on EU AD bring newbs to zerg the guild server (Vivec) for emperor buffs. Not cool for experienced players.
3. Getting emperor on a 30 day server requires 'no-life-ing it up to the max' . Not healthy.
4. On 7 day servers there is a lot of aggro and bitterness between people, that should be working to help each other, due to the scramble for emperor.
5. On 7 day servers people are alliance hopping and exploiting the capping of outer keeps and resources to gain AP for the person that wants emperor and not helping the alliance.
6. Former Emperor is not a cool title.

AP.....

1. Defence ticks need to be doubled to stop the lack of defending due to the buff on offence ticks.
2. Why not just pay us in gold and scale it to PvE ratio? Points for rank could be seperate but not a currency.
3. AP farming and emperorships go hand in hand. Therefore AP is exploited.
4. Grand Overlord title is just for the decoy elder scroll coz it looks nice in a house, no-one cares about it since the outpost flipping crisis during the 1st double AP event (EU). Those who even cared before well.... hmmmm.

@Zenimax Scrap emperor coz its not healthy or cool and also distracts us from the point of elder scrolls, double AP for defence and give more for holding an elder scroll, just leave it for ranks and give us gold. However emperorships are more the concern.

Sadly I wasn't invited to the meeting with Zenimax and the 'Big GMs' of PvP, LoL most only play prime-time and probably said '5-4-3-2-1 Don't care about morning caps. Just don't nerf Destro Ulti', the players that care about the morning caps are those that actually play the map at prime time and those that are here in the morning. Dynamic pop cap/balance FtW.

1. Sotha isn't a newb server. Kyne is the 1-50 server. Sotha Sil is no-CP, not noob.

Do agree the degree of no lifing it takes makes it a time spent playing challenge rather than much else which is a shame. But am unsure how they fix that. Keeping Emp as a goal but working on how it.works would.be better than scraping it IMO

Disagree with scraping the AP currency. It draws some PvEers in who sometimes stay. Losing it would lose that identity to go there. Any pop draw is good.

Do agree in increasing defence ticks like they used to be. And also scrolls meaning more. You run half way across the map for pretty measily AP and buff.

AP directly correlates to how the Assualt/Support skill lines and PvP ranks. Taking it away would be pretty damn senseless.
I do agree d-ticks need a big ole buff to encourage defending keeps.

Never thought I'd agree with you, Rav, but I do on this. On every point.

Not to mention how a good emp, with the right class/build and decent support can completely shut down the opposition off-peak. As the numbers/co-ordination simply arnt there to stop him.
I've seen people log off in disgust way too many times because of this.

@Beardimus on PC EU Sotha is full of CP 120 dudes and dudesses, Kyne has more pros, same on PC NA server.

We need gold not AP. If we could buy tempering alloys for AP then fine but...

@CoachPower Sotha is the hardest server if you are used to CP or <50 scaling but it is full of CP120 folks. Not a bad server but just saying its full of newbies and reds nightcap every night because they want the HP buff from having emp to newb-slay in the day.

Meanwhile on Vivec AD do the same.

The thing is that both of those factions that do that on those servers get totally embarassed at prime time.

AP is the reason. If you have a premade in BGs that wins every fight you split because winning all the time is boring.

These dawn raiders need to learn to split to different factions or servers to keep the map and campaign fun rather than just being AP prostitutes.

I go to AD zone in Vivec and ask "Just why?" I get bombarded with "Oh another whining DC" when I have been playing EP all night. These morning dudes do not know what is going on. I would love to play for all 3 in Vivec but AD is a no no because of the arrogant morning cappers.

They know in their hearts that they do wrong. AP though.... m u s t g e t A P . . .

Its sad and needs a fix.

I'm curious where you got your "full of cp120" info from? I'm playing on nocp most of the time and it's not that often i see someone with less than 160.

Well @Biro123 and @raviour you could play AD in primetime when there is no UF on if you want a challange. Get crushed by the DC and EP destro ball groups. So you can play AD, sadly it's when the server is lagging to hell

Unfortunately emperor in ESO really means nothing for the campaign itself. And most players don't care about getting emperor or who is emperor. Unfortunate because back before launch, reading and watching all the interviews regarding PvP and the massive war in Cyrodiil, and climbing the ranks to become emperor during the conflict was exciting. And without a doubt guilds/groups and those willing to pay for a carry completely watered down and ruined what it means to become emperor.

I wish ZOS had some solution and changes to make emperor mean something more than a fake title and achievement that most were carried to.

Is it hard to get ... Yes and no ... It's all about timing and a little dedication ... You don't need to no life it as much as people say you do

Scroll so should be based on distance traveled and time it has spent away from its temple. Give people a reason to return it home. Otherwise it's worth more on the map. Also an amp should be visible on the map at all times just like the scroll.

I also think that once you get emp your ap gains should be cut in half for the remaing part of the campaign when you loose it.

I see no problems with present AP and emp. The main imbalance is the low pop on the EU servers late night and mornings. To make the campaigns more interesting ZOS need to introduce dynamic campaign ticks so there is fewer ticks when the server is empty and more at primetime. I would also like to remove the dungeon boss 20% ap buff and instead give people 20% more ap if they kill players or take objectives from the current alliance leading the campaign. I think this would balance the pop when the pop is low.

Honestly, with the amount of times I see zone chat pleading against an emp push because the faction doesn’t want to get focused, I would say the system is fine. Emp, on main 30 day server, requires a solid group behind the player who would be number one, then a faction effort to crown, or an off prime time lull. If it some how gets into the hands of a small scale player, then every faction win minded player kinda gets everything they wanted as that same player is now involved in map play to prolong emperorship.
Emp is also not a “everybody gets a humpback whale” mechanic. You either have to have the skill to keep killing at a high rate to out match others, a solid group with the common goal of pushing you to 1, or spend an immense amount of time online and in Cyrodiil. Through skill or “no-lifing” it still takes dedication. There is also no reason to limit them from becoming emp again, they got themselves up there, no reason they shouldn’t reap the fruits.

On smaller campaigns, sure it is more difficult if a faction has an organized guild that runs around, but there is nothing stopping other factions from putting their collective minds together to do the same. The problem is people more readily want to fall into the folds of current leadership than become one themselves.

I’ve fought against many emps and their groups, as far back as the days of every faction having their own buff server, and the only thing it has ever done was forge my friendships with top tier players and help me advance as a player. Target rich environments make for more pvp.

Behind a strong emp, factions can do great things. Behind weak emps factions lose their keeps.

I don't think i saw a none 24hr zerging emp since zos put fixed Ap on keeps and resources.

At least before that solo/ small squads had a chance to become emp because they'd get more ap because they would kill more people with a smaller group while zergs got hardly no ap for taking empty keeps or killing 2 people with 20.

A few weeks ago the EP emperor on Shor left like an hour after he got the title......
Earlier that week people saw this person getting fed AP to climb the EP leaderboard.

Shor on PC/EU is more or less and emp-swapping campaign between EP and DC. On some rare occasions AD manage to get some people from Sotha Sil or Vivec to come to Shor and usually gets an emperor instantly. Worst story I´ve heard was from and AD guy on shor who got kicked from his group because he was " to close to get emp", and since it was supposed to go to someone else they kicked him.....

That kind of **** needs to go away. Not sure how to fix it to be honest.....

after the OP couldnt even get their first point remotely correct, it kind of invalidated everything else they are whinging about. Id suggest you were one of the 3 that i put the smack down on in cyro last night but this thread is too old for that. but it does seem like someone did it.

You are so right. I rember how i got mine.

When i first finished the main story line in the game, that armor was sooo amazing i was in love with that. I didn't know that armor can be obtained, because i was a newbie back then. I had a nice discussion with my freind about what is the best coustume in the game, thye all had diferent opinions and when they asked me what is my favourite one i told them the one at the end of the main quest the empowered armor with that nice glowing light effect they didn't know what i am talking about because i haven't got any idea what is the name for that armor, nor even had any clue it is exist, but all the sudden an other guild mate said ahh The Emperors Regalia. I asked them how can be obtained, and they only said well litle new one, that is what you are not going to get. when i said why do you say that, he simply replied becasue you are not good enough for that. It was so ofensive and i left that guild.

I was realy dissapointed by them and leater on when i burshed off all of those comments, i decided to do my research on the subject. How to pvp, what is cyrodiil, what are the prioritie objectives, how to gear up my toon. So i made my home work.
And in one video guide a guy said i dont have worry about if i dont get emperorship at the first time at reset and on a low population server, i can try next time too.

I was ready to choose a camping, and i chosed Almalexia 7 days non cp. ( i was around cp 410 but i didnt wanted to get in to with the big guys).

I watched closely the camping time reset, and then when it hited i entered instantly. I have seen some players were LFG-ed so i invited them, they nicely said hello to me and thanked me for teh invitation.And they asked a question what is the plan?

i replied: I am here for the crown.
It was a huge long moment of silence. it was around 10 min while i already taken care alesia farm. 20 mins were gone and tehy sudenly said: all right lets do this.

we were taking objectives quickly and out of teh sudden we saw the inenr keeps were taken and a new emp was crowned. From the blues.

He was unkillable, it was a Dragon knight. I never forget him tahts for sure.we were in teh camping at least for 3 hours now and our litle group begane to grown, we were at probably 9, when out of nowhere while we tried to siege Ash the empress came. that power was a nuclear cataclysm what he done

we have wiped probably 6 times when we decided to call for help. everyone in teh group was in a pvp guild but they werent so activ so but we take our shot. they joined our group aour number became 20 now. okay lets take the fortress we thought, and the empress came we died ofc.

And out of nowhere i saw around 40+ people came from a distance and began to fight with teh empress, and all i saw in the zone chat: now it is the time hes is been distracted lets decrown him.

we were in teh keep waiting for teh flag swap and out of no where the empress came and wiped us all.

Allright we decided to get him, i was already on teh top of the list, but the keps were harder to take

So we have discused every strategy to we can get him, how to reduce healign recieving, you know we went into hes class weaknesses and began to analize it. and we found its weak spot, fair or unfair but with that 40 peopel and with us (20) we bearly but managed to kill the empress. Dam that fight was 2 and a half hour fight was. sience then I hate Every DK what i see in cyrodiil in the oposite faction.:D I am realy sorry about that i wanted to love you but that fight was tiering and wast and brutal and energy consuming as hell.it was in the middle of the day when the surviving army were said good by and left us, and our number were reduced at the original one 9 people

and then came the reds, i said no! thats not going to happen, i was literally exhousted. we cute their routs very quckly and it seems they didnt wanted to go for anything. probably they were just skyshard farmers, because the did not fought back, it was just 3 person.

only one keep remained Alessia. you must know i loved her lore and she became the first empress and i begane to pray loudly in zone chat: Please Alessia if you see me from the skies grant me power to face that keep and we can take it sucsessfuly. The zone chat ofc didn't replied at all it seemed were alone in that time i was up nonstop 24 hours and i was so tierd my whole body was shaking from fatigue. even my group members were fatigued as well, and we decided to chat a bit too. while we set up our sieges. at the whole fight fest in that camping we were get to known eachother closely, and that 2 guy from the begining were actualy became my best friends too, not in game in real life as well.

we bearly just got trhouh the senc dor at Alessia when out of no where the reds were came to wipe us down. Yeah Zergs...
I died in a second but the the others were made their final stand against them 10 camps were down it was a Huge fight and i Rember one of the guy began to yeel in zone chat: You are not going to take the crown from our rightfull Emperor! that sentence was so powerful it literally flowed trhough me and i felt it dued realy, they wanted me to becaome an emperor. i was tehir leader. It gave me enough boost to quckly run back in to the midlle of the fight and saw teh flag is switching 4 group mebers were lies dead around me, i am healing my self and the remaining others. the flag swapping moment was eternity moment.

And then The Server Massage Pops Up (Almalexia) Player (cenzored due to naming policies) of Dagerfal Covenent has been deposed as emperor.

The Achievment instantly poped in to my face i was in shock And screamed as a litle baby and cryed like a oh god i dont know how to describe that fealing. everybody in group began to yeel and dancing and crying and kneeling, and praying, it was soo amazing, it was so cool. i realy honestly loved them so much. their patient, theri atitudes, their thinking. they were so diferent people then now. And then they asked me what is thy bidding my empress all i could say is that i love you guys.
And i was kncoked out for 2 days constantly sleeping. My boyfriend have waken me up. i have definetly payed the price for thsi ahcievment and so did my group. i was decrowned after a day one of my best friend became the top one on the list and he nicely whsipered me i hope you are not angry on me because i have taken your throne my majesty. it was funny i told him. and he said no siriusly with all respect you will remain our Emperor for ever, but you were gone for 2 days and we didn't wanted to hand over the throne to the other factions. And i said i am not angry at all i know it is in teh right hand.

I started a dinasty on Almalexia i know its sounds childish but our group were ruled for 7 weeks. and we were not zergs at all, i didnt even know it what a hell is that supose to mean until sme one explained to me while i was activly involved in the camping.

We still have discussions, and we still in touch with eachother. we have meet in real life more then 7 times and we realy got into a realy close friendship.

some of our group members leater tried their luck in other campings, and ofc we gladly helped them out they didn't even had to ask us We were the Last dinasty of the Almalexia. Because the sever is no more i wish they put it back.

And i never forget those moments you can see my smiling emperor picture beloww in my post as a signature

And what i see now in Cyrodiil? that is dissapointing me. Emperor sellings, IC sellings. The Reds are unite with the blues to utterly destroy teh dominion, close gap glichers, speed haxorz and list goes on...it is a shame. i feel sorry for those players who would like to achiev something in legit way, and they cant because of these.

A few weeks ago there were 3 emperors on Kyne in one day, two DC and one EP. While deleting AP would be pointless, I agree this issue needs to be addressed, emperor means nothing for a long time now, please ZOS, give PvP some love

There even have been four, five and six. Barracks emperors do not last long.
The corrupt empire and unjust feudal order has to be abolished and replaced with Great Socialist People's Covenant Redguard Jamahiriya. Where everyone would have to be happy, or else...

Make AP gained divisible like tel var does and reduce the base AP from objectives significantly, while leaving AP gained from player kills as such.

i am so agree with your last sentences, considering it hase been and still abused by the Emperor sellers, for in game currency and for real money as well. wich is already destroyed Campings already.

I do enjoy murdering *** tier emps with my crew tho.
Most of the time soo bad players get emp its ridicilous.
With my crew of 4 , yes, only 4, we managed to kill a 40k hp magDk emperor, in sotha sil, with all the protection from his ''hired mercenaries''

They can buy emp but they can't buy skill.
