I am so sick of the blue orbs flying around my character wearing worm cult. It’s like a neon sign that says hey I’m a healer come get me. Though I have seen other PVP builds it is not the only reason I hate them. My character is constantly blue in every setting no matter what I wear. Makes me feel like the only color that I can dye my armor is blue. Healers are also encouraged to wear the set with green orbs! Tanks often wear the red ones right? Hey I’m a tank you can’t kill me so move along. Why can’t we have the option to turn these off! Make it so! Looking for alternatives to worm cult until then.

Yeah, this has been discussed to death with dozens of other threads. Everyone agrees with yes. Even people that don't really care would like toggle options for quality of life.

I agree completely. Watching those swirling balls can get so annoying that I stop playing.

They appear even with a costume. Same with other effects like sanctuary and Ebon.

I too like them, and look forward to having them on my tanks. It's like, "Hey I'm that badass an adventurer the very essence of magicka literally revolves around me!"

It's not likely any sort of toggle will be introduced. As such, if you don't like the visuals of a set, don't use it. I've dropped set ideas for my characters more than once because the visuals didn't work for them.

Well I think the idea is that they don't like looking at them on other people, as well. If you were at a vendor or crafting station next to someone wearing Torugs and those red balls are floating around in your face....not cool.

Honey if your balls are blue you need someone to keep them warm...

But on a more serious note, yes I agree. Though I do not seem to find them as annoying as many others, I would like the option to not have them flying around me all the time.

If ZOS refuse to remove the orbs affect entirely, or give an option to toggle on and off, then at least they should reduce the number from 3 to 1. And perhaps stop the orb from being constant and instead have it ping periodically. These measures would at least reduce the in your face annoyance.

But the preference would be to rework the effects.

Having said all the above, when you see the orbs in your trial group or dungeon group or pvp group, it does give you some confidence that at least they are wearing an appropriate set for their tanking or healing.

I completely agree! We can do so much else to modify our characters’ looks, why make these mostly ugly effects (the floating circles being the worst imo) that cannot be turned off or hidden with any outfit or costume?! There are only a few set effects that I like, such as I think the lightning effect would be cool for some sorcerers, but all should be optional. As it is I choose my armor sets around avoiding these things. :unamused:

I wish they were toggleable due to just them getting in my view while wearing them. I know they are neon signs in PvP, but it's more they get in my line of sight.

Oddly enough I've been wanting the exact opposite of this. I always wished there was a way to apply external visuals to your character independent of what gear you were wearing.

This idea might be cool only if the idea the OP mentioned was implemented...the ability to toggle if you want to see other players "artwork" or not.

Edit: To clarify, the last thing I want is to lose people with specific health conditions because all the individual "artwork" is causing them harm. Too many flashing lights or movement can cause health issues for individuals, so we need to make sure they have a toggle option.

I love my three blue worm balls. But, as they can be a problem for other people, I think they should be a visual option.

Yeah, the balls are a bit annoying at times, but mostly I just want the Sanctuary ones to be gold/yellow rather than green.

Then they'd match my healer's outfit MUCH better!

Well I just got my orbs today, with Ebon Armory, and I love them! Makes you stand out, and tells everyone I'm a real tank.

Funny thing is, if you have Sanctuary and Ebon slotted together, they actually cast golden light if the orbs overlap. Has to do with how you make secondary colors in an additive system (light) as opposed to a subtractive one (pigments). If you bar swap (assuming you're not completing one set with head/shoulders/jewelry, and the other on the body) the orbs will pop out of sync.

Not really recommending your healer run ebon, (and ebon resto staves are a pain in the ass to farm), but it is something I see on my tank running Sanctuary weapons and jewels.
