Can we get more items in the crown store each month?

The model from last year, frankly, sucks skeever balls, lol. (Barf)

Each month we get like six special items and the slowly rotating flotsam that’s left in there semi-permanently. And each month I look at the two costumes and don’t want them, the one mount and don’t want it, and the other stuff and don’t want that. So every month I sit on my crowns. I’m actually letting my plus lapse for 2-3 weeks at a time now because I don’t need the crowns because there’s nothing I want.

The thing is...there are so many items I’d like that were offered previously. I’ve been waiting for a stripe senche Mount for like two years. My friend has been waiting for the pirate costumes for a year. Start bringing this stuff back into rotation. You aren’t creating higher demand...you’re losing sales because your strategy sucks.

Oh no, not more useless items in the store

Subjective. Something you don't like, doesn't mean nobody else likes it either.

Sure, i thought that the showcase for this month was underwhelming, but i also have seen other players who would love to get their hands on some of the upcoming outfits.

I don’t doubt that a lot of people do enjoy the offerings. I don’t have a complaint about those.

What I’m saying is that I’d like to see more items offered so that there’s a wider range that could appeal to a larger number of customers. The white Christmas pony was cool, I’m sure lots of people love it. But I had my Christmas cash and was about to buy a crown pack and grab something else...but there was nothing I wanted. ZOS isn’t going to be able to appeal to everyone, but I think they have enough items “in the vault” that they could loosen up on the limited time offers.

I’m thinking about things like the Dro Mount. It has been almost three years since that was sold for crowns. I’ve heard tons of people in the game saying they want it...and given that it’s been so long, probably 70% of players weren’t even in the game when it was first offered. The retirement period is too long.

Possibly. Alot of us want items that have been 'in the vault' for quite awhile now. However, i don't think ZOS has any intention on re releasing more items frequently.

There will be loose variants of past loyalty rewards (jester variant of cheerful slaughter, senche variants on the original tiger), but we'll never see things that could be confused for those loyalty rewards. So there won't be another striped senche or dwarven sphere or hrothgar wraith, even on console. For marketing purposes, Tamriel Unlimited is a separate edition from the sub-locked launch game.

A lot of items will see a last-chance offering in a crown crate season. The pirate costumes were individual rewards in the Reaper's Harvest crates.

It's not unusual for both digital and physical manufacturers to discontinue products, but ZOS has been pretty good at keeping at least one basic variant as an evergreen store item, or offering chances to win some older items (baby netch, snow bear cub, and frost mare were all repeat offerings in yesterday's trivia event).

Now for a bit of math. If you purchased one 21000 crown pack on sale, that budgets 1,750 per month. Add in a subscription and you have 3,250 crowns per month. Some people did buy a second 21000 pack on sale. That lifts a monthly budget to 5,000 crowns. So an average of 3,000 to 5,000 crowns worth of limited offerings a month is ideal.

Which gives you a better feel of how overloaded last October was, not even counting all the re-releases.

I'd rather have lackluster months so I can save up crowns for months with a lot of interesting or content-tied extras, or spend those crowns on crate seasons with older items in them. And ZOS probably knows as well as I do that people saying they want something isn't a guaranteed indicator that they'll actually buy it. And that no matter what you do, somebody's going to complain. The Internet is just a loud and mostly unverifiable mess.
