Assuming PC version is the best version, how does Xbox and PS4 rank?

I have the Xbox One X (which I believe improves visuals and loading times slightly over the "regular" Xbox One) and was wondering how it compares to the PS4 version?

Also, is it safe to assume the PS4 has significantly larger numbers playing?

Wow, another guy with a clever PC Master Race comment. Original.

Maybe you misunderstood or misread my original post. Or maybe I worded it incorrectly.

I will restate my question. How do PS4 and Xbox compare in overall graphics and player base?

He wants to know which is the better version AFTER the master race...... I can't say, I sold both my xone and ps4, got bored of em. But I at least understood :) also, there is no assuming lol (not being cocky) it is the better version ^_^

I don't know about xbox but i've played on ps4 na server since release and the ps4 population seems to be okay. But i wouldn't say there are all that many either compared to the way it use to be at release. You can go to a spot that use to be heavily populated and there aren't as many ppl as there use to be there. Pvp is just normally the same ppl you seen the day before i hardly ever run into new players I haven't seen before. i've spent well over 5000 thousand hours+ on eso for ps4. And in my opinion i would say yes there are a lot of ppl at times on ps4 but it's hardly as it use to be. And as far as graphics on ps4 i only have an original ps4 i play eso on but there are a lot of graphic problems with it. Especially in cryodilli the ground doesn't always load before my mount arrives where i am going and i end up getting stuck in place until the ground finally loads. And at times the ground and trees just look like play-doh. P.S this is based on my own opinion from my own perspective someone else might have more insight to what you are asking

I play on both PC and Xbox. I usually play on Xbox because I have a lot of friends on there. Very active on both and you can’t really go wrong either way.

    Ditto.

It is nice to hop on PC with graphics setting on its highest to admire the work BUT my player community is on xbox and I can live with what I have there. I was considering a one x for the graphics boost when I can afford one.

IMO, as far as ranking, overall (taking into account performance issues)

    1)PC

    2)XBOX ONE X

    3)PS4 PRO, XBOX ONE, PS4

    Xbox NA is always jumping.

Cyrodiil, the campaigns other than Sotha Sil are usually well-populated. Sotha Sil is...dying out.

If you are playing on EU server, PS4 all the way. Sony is console king in Europe since PS 1 days.

    For NA, Xbox.

I haven't played on the One X, but the Xbox One isnt horrible.

It definitely has crazy frame problems in trials and PvP. Most of the lag experienced can also be thrown up between an XBL Service issue as much as it can be a ZoS issue.

    Graphics- PC -> Xbox One X -> PS4 -> Xbox One
Playerbase- No official info about how the playerbase is divided. We could all sit here and assume or speculate, but it's all nonsense.

It could be an artifact of instancing.

I would describe console and PC the same way. However, I solo quite a bit in Cyrodiil and track killing blows. Aside from the regular pvp crowd that I have connections with through guilds or whatnot, I am constantly amazed at how few repeats I get.

Interestingly, the instancing system outside of Cyrodiil is pretty seamless. There are only two ways I have been able to detect the instancing. One is logging out and back in when harvesting. The other way is with the equivalent of a LAN party, where toons from different accounts go to a zone before grouping (e.g., Craglorn). We have actually received a message asking approval to go to the instance the other account is in.

Actually, there is official info (Firor) that player base and is fairly split evenly between PC, PS4 and Xbone.

PS4 Eu is not bad. It's not release great but I don't think any platform is. I have been helping new players lately and there are max cps - same old crowd but lots of mixed cp levels too. so there are newer players and ongoing players. Still people in pvp playing, still people accusing various other factions of 40 person zergs in guild chats. Still people stealing your chests.
It's quiet compared to when anything "new" happens but still doing ok.
PS4 EU 1200+ cp - I enjoy RP, Housing, PVE and PVP

You shouldn't just assume PC is better. If hand holding mods that play the game for you is what you would classify as better then maybe so...but if you want actually skilled players and a vibrant bustling community then ps4/ps4 pro is your best bet. Xbox seems to have too many salty 12 year old CoD fanboys, ps4 seems to attract the more mature console gamer in my experience. And yes I have played all platforms, ps4 is still way better imo...add ons(except QoL) are for people that can't actually play. Miats is a prime example of this, good luck!

PS4 EU seems to have a good community. There's a lot of nationalities and a few sizeable guilds. The capitals are usually rammed. Even other towns like stormhold get busy(it's where I do all my crafting) I'll often run into a couple of people even in delves that are pretty obscure. Queues are always popping.

I can tell you that I browse over the ESO Facebook groups for xbox1 and that entire community needs to be placed in a barrel and sent over a waterfall.

It gives the impression that the Xbox is overrun by teenagers in a modern day Lord of the Flies MMO.

I like Xbox over PC in that you don't have as much cheese/cheats/add-ons but the player base is a basket of poop.

PC has the best graphics followed by the PS4. Xbox has always had weird lighting problems and can't seem to handle particle effects well.

Plus PC runs over 30 fps. That alone is a big difference. You can see the Xbox flaws here. Note the video doesn't show PC's inherent advantages because there's very little movement involved but in combat it's a huge difference to go from smooth high frames to the console choppiness.

This happens rarely, and mostly around the holidays when there is an influx of new users. Usually it is resolved in a few hours. In the meantime, it's hard to believe people can't find something in their lives to do in the short time it's down.

I agree, consoles are awesome because everyone has the game in its most pure form.

The playerbase on Xbox NA is the worst playerbase I have seen in any game.

Huh, no. The only objective thing you got right is better performance, everything else is subjective. Believe it or not there are gamers who don't need add ons to play the game for them, m-kb aka pointing and clicking isn't considered better controls by all and better ui goes back to add ons. I guess pc is great if you like cheating and need add ons that play the game for you though.

yea a proper UI with proper unit frames, skyshard map, lorebook maps, a non *** inventory that shows you all your inventory/bank contents of all chars in one screen with search and filter function, potion maker, minimap, combat log, ap meter, proper way to select potions/food is cheating....

also mouse+keyboard vs gamepad. pretty obvious who is the winner here.

PC is faaaaaar superior in every aspect and no1 in his right mind can possibly deny that.
