Are you pleased with the upcoming outfit change?

After getting a few of my concerns out of the way, I can safely say I am pleased with the system so far. Granted I would have been happier if crafters could earn gold from this, but it could have been worse.

We get one slot per character, this was a extreme worry of mine given I have 13 toons.
We only need one crafter toon with the known motifs to make outfits for all characters of those rare styles, I too was also worried about this.
Weapons can be recolored, yay~

So far the rest is up for debate but given what I am reading so far, this is better than I expected. What about you?

Hoped finally crafters will have some money to make by selling pieces of gear to be used in "appearance system". Instead again they got nothing while every other player have to invest into motifs... plus there are nice looking unique motifs we wont be able to use in this system.

Based on the information given up until now, there is no way to just change armor pieces to different styles like imperial/morag tong, so I'm pretty dissatisfied. I have to wait until the ESO Live happens for it to be clarified

Not crazy about the wording of your most-negative choice, and it's honestly a little early to be making these assessments, but...

From what I've read so far, I actually am trying to see if I ever made a "Spatula's List of Ways Not to do Appearance." Because it sure sounds like they did everything I would have put on that list.

I want crafting to be viable and revitalized. Once this goes live, Master Writs will be the only reason to ever craft any gear again, ever. (I mean, some people might still want TBS, but do you really think Julianos and Hundings' will be popular when people can make any set look like whatever they want?)

Again, only going off of what I've read so far, but it sure sounds like it drives the final nail into something I consider utterly essential, something I consider a non-negotiable part of a good game.

So far it sounds mostly fine to me but I belong to the 'see how it works before whining' camp.

I agree with your conclusion, for your reason.

Also -- in LOTRO, one took real gear and treated it as a costume. In ESO, the plan seems to be to take potential real gear -- i.e. anything you could craft -- and treat it as a costume. The LOTRO plan was much better in that game, because a large fraction of dropped gear wasn't craftable. In ESO the gap between the two plans is much smaller.

So I'm fine with the basic ideas of the plan. Now we just have to see whether there are any serious flaws (bugs, greed, foolish omissions) in its implementation.

It isn't great, but as far as I have seen, it isn't the worst thing in the world. I'm just glad we get the option.

But, the potential prices for the extra outfit slots is what worries me, along with whatever an outfit change token is.

Well that's good enough for me then, one costume per character should give me some entertainment for a while.

My biggest concern or dissapointment is how they over monetize anything but do not add any reasonsto play the game.

Here is what I mean.
For crafting you had to work to collect gear and research pieces to unlock set crafting but for this update....which I consider as crafting.....the game literally doesn’t add anything in terms of gameplay and focuses 99% on pay for access or progress.

I’d much rather pay more for the DLC’s to include all this QoL stuff. $25-$35 per dlc instead of 1200-1500 crowns and then another 15,000 crowns (or in subs ) for QoL

I'd have answered this after previewing the system on ESO Live tonight, but the stream started 1.5 hours late due to technical issues, was then on webcam with game images on a monitor back between the hosts (not terribly visible in the overall web cam image) and they have begun with dungeons rather than outfits. Since 1.5 hours was the most time I had to watch ... I had to leave.

I hope some wonderful people find a way to screen cap and summarize the info from the stream.

I will say just fine as they finally took to this after 3 if not 4 years later after 1st ideas for something like this...it is to long to long for that simple things like this

Yeah, I may spend 5 minutes tweaking my appearance, like I spent 5 minutes putting a stool in my house...

But I spend hours and hours and hours in cyrodiil, and nothing.. For years.

As someone who doesn't juggle gear around between alts, I prefer transmog. Honestly I was expecting both transmog and this outfit system to be a part of the update

Based on live stream info, the system is really flexible. What I'm looking for can be done with outfits, although transmog would still have been more convenient. So I'd change my answer to pleased/best system ever. I still hope simple transmog can be its own system in the future if possible.

I was overwhelmed with my options and became confused... LOL

Too many options for measurable favorability... Try Yes or No, Like or dislike...
Do we really need input from people who don't yet know anything about it?

That being said, It could have been better as could most things, but it is at least better than nothing, so I suppose I'd rather have that than none at all...

Still too early to tell. If its as limiting as what Ive been reading, its about on par with might as well not have tried at all. I am glad some people are getting what they want, and maybe they will add more in the future.
