No, at least not based on my experiences. Some days are more quiet than others, which isn't a bad thing if you're just focusing on the quest or job in hand.

Just about everyone in my guilds turn zone chat off. I don't know that I need to go into reasons why.

I didn’t think zone chat was real. I thought it was a bot programmed to say the dumbest things possible in order to make me feel smart and boost my self esteem while I sit on the couch and play video games.

I miss zone chat when it comes to those asking for help, looking to fill group slots or with specifc simple questions. Guild recruiting is annoying and should have an alternative venue but at least it is legit and about ESO.

The reason I disable zone chat though is because of the spam about things other than ESO - much of it annoying, inflammatory and sophmoric. I don't know what the answer is, but spam has trashed zone chat into ignore/disable-land for me.

If your on the PC, typically an X in Zone Chat will get you an Auto Invite to a World Boss or Dolmen Group. Consoles don't do this, but here are some tips for any platform:

1. LFG for so and so world boss, Quest to Share

The last part, Quest to Share, will bring all the players to your yard.Most people only want to do World Bosses if they can get quest rewards, which make sense as it gives a huge chunk of experience compared to just killing the boss. Plus you get better loot. So, if try to get the quest if you can, it will help you get a group.

2. If you don't have a quest for some reason or can't get one, then ask for any World Boss Groups, or if anyone wants to form one.

Nice thing is, you can share world boss quests in a group so that you can do more than one a day, in fact you can do all 6 in one day if your group can get all the quests.
