Do we still receive gold mats from hirelings?

Interested to see whether or not my system is bugged related to gold material I get from hirelings. I have five toons with max level hirelings (10/10 in first passive, 3/3 in hirelings passive), but it has been at least 4 months since I received any gold mats (dreugh wax, temps, rosin, kutas). I used to receive 5-10 per week but NOT ONE since HotR patch dropped.

Is anyone else facing this issue? Friends I talked to said they still receive 5-10 gold materials per week. I put several tickets in through the in-game system and got responses like "RNG determines drop rate." Well, to me my RNG must be zero then because doing the math I've probably received over 1,000 pieces of mail from hirelings without ANY gold mats.

If anyone can confirm if they do or do not receive gold materials, and if they do, how much, that would be great.

I cant remember what patch it was, HOTR sounds about right (Edit: actually more I think about it, I think it might have been further back than HOTR), but they significantly nerfed the gold mats you get from hirelings. It was in the patch notes. Darn shame IMO. You absolutely still get them, but they are few and far between. Wax always comes in 2 (used to come in 4), and the rest are always single drops. If you are like me and tend to speed delete all your hireling mail, it is possible you missed a few along the way. 4 months seems like a long time to go without them, but I have certainly gone a week or more. I typically expect to see 1-2 gold mats every time my mail box is full.

Edit 2: If you really want gold mats, do master writs on those toons if you arent already.

Hirelings have never been a good source of Gold Tempers. We have had periods where it was better than others, but how much is due to RNG and how much to ZOS changing things is not known.

Have 13 toons with maxed hirelings on main account and 5 tons with max hirelings on second account. Even if it's nerfed (I still feel like get them regularly. Out of all toons I get atleast 4-5 gold tempers per 12 hour reset). There's plenty of skill points in game. So why not put points in the tree. It's a passive source of mats no matter what it is and you don't have to do anything for them. Since I have a multiple monitor set up. I log in both accounts and just cycle through all my tons with hirelings.

Hireling rates are absolutely terrible, 3 maxed out and I'm lucky to get 1 gold item per fortnight (cept for wax which comes in 2's), I often think about just cancelling them but I can't be arsed with having to faff around with a metric crap ton of skill points to put back after a reset.
