Bug: Bank Items not Stacking (PC)

Many types of items added to one's Bank (that are intended to be stackable) are not stacking when added to the Bank.

I first noticed the problem shortly after the release of CwC but it might have been around much longer.

They also do not 'stack' after pressing the (default) 'Y' key, albeit a notification appears on the screen informing the player that items have been 'stacked'. One has to drag the items together manually in order to stack them.

The most obvious ones not stacking are:

• Food recipes
• Drink recipes
• Identical (laundered) Th-Guild items
• Elemental Essesnce
• Foul Hide
• Daedra Husk
• Carapaces
• Supple Roots
• Ectoplasm

This Bug might not be a major one but it is very irritating and time-consuming. Please fix @ZOS_GinaBruno , @ZOS_JessicaFolsom .

I have never seen them "fail to stack" when you hit the button to stack, but I use gamepad mode on PC which may affect it. I have seen them fail to initially stack correctly before doing that though.

Actually, are you on console? That could be why it doesn't work right. Which console?

I get the same problem from time to time. PC too.

This happens all the time if two different characters of mine put the same item in the bank, such as recipes, blueprints, etc. And pressing "Y" does not fix it. The only solution is to withdraw both stacks and then they will combine in your bag, and then put the merged items back in the bank as a single stack.

Also on PC/NA.

Also on PC/NA.

I do not need to withdraw the 2/3 stacks from the bank. I can simply click on one stack, hold with mouse, then drag & drop on the other. This will combine the items.

The last six items on your list will not stack unless they are the same level. If you are banking them from different level characters, they are not going to stack.

The last six items on your list will not stack unless they are the same level. If you are banking them from different level characters, they are not going to stack.

Yes, I agree with what you say but I am referring to 'same level' items. I should have been more specific.

On PC NA, I haven't found a problem with stacking Food Recipes or Drink Recipes (or any furnishing "recipes") in the Bank. Ordinarily, I do not bank any of the last six items on your list, they are sold to vendors from the character's bags.

However, some time not long ago, the Bank UI stopped stacking Grand Repair Kits which were deposited with the stack already present. Then it stopped stacking Glass Motif Fragments which were deposited with those already present. The "Y" keypress did not combine the stacks. I have not attempted to combine the respective stacks with a mouse drag-and-drop, or by withdrawing them to a character's Bags and attempting to combine the respective stacks there.

So, I reported these incidents, each with an attached screenshot, via the in-game Feedback feature. The oddest thing is that when more items are deposited, they are added to the stack that was started by previous recent deposits, while the original stack remains unchanged. Removing any items from either stack has no effect upon whether they remain separate.

Since I pay for ESO Plus, the Bank capacity is 480. So the two extraneous stacks haven't had any significant effect. Whether it will become significant, especially if the problem continues with regard to stacking other items, is impossible to predict. The ZOS development team needs to pay attention to this bug.

This is also happening on PS4. I have to take items out, stack them while in my bag, and then put them back in.
