Return of the Fire DK

For us melee players I would love to see the Dragon knight return to melee fire damage as opposed to the poison knight,which I do love, but I like the idea of a warrior doing fire damage instead of poison. Their could be great gear sets for this.

    Red Mountain, Sunderflame, and Grothdar... It won't be BiS, but you will have fire.

    just play a mDk like other 1 billion permablocking cheeseballs out there.

    If you insist anyways, there are fire damage sets out there, like skoria or red mountain.

    Probably go with Valkan Skoria instead of Grothdar since if you are stam you don't need the magicka

    Red mountain and Sunderflame seems perfectly playable though, I am pretty sure I have seem someone using it in a normal trail.

    I think OP is talking about PVE. And I agree I would love to use my magdk in trials again.

    Another example of stupid changes from DB patch. I do not have enough fingers to count all gamebreaking changes from that time. I do also think that Fire damage on Stamina DK was more immersive. It was great balancing tool for the class (stam DK at the time had highest DPS). They pushed DPS on DK even harder with that. Who wanted that? Why was it done? I am still wondering till today

    The people pushing for every class to feel the same wanted it. I think the Warden is a perfect example of how terrible that is.

    Stam and Mag Warden slot almost identical skills atm. If you run a 2H Mag Warden PvP build you are legit just a lesser Stam Warden. I also wanted to run a Hybrid NB once but realized that if I used Pelinal’s Aptitude, I would gain zero new skills. Both Mag and Stam NB use all of the same class skills.

    Homogenization of classes between each other is already a growing issue but it was the players who asked for it to happen between Mag/Stam class builds. You still see it with people asking for a Stam morph of Lava Whip. Next we may as well get a Stam morph of Conjured Ward....

    I use a MagDK as my 2nd an I enjoy his skill set very much, its not the easiest but its definitely not boring lol, I play him when I get bored of the same thing over and over playing my sorcerer. I think they have some good fire skills ATM but it would be awesome if a few more, maybe magic specific, fire skills for those of us that enjoy playing a MagDK even tho not many of there class specific skills can be used from the same range as a staff, the weapon I'm under impression magic toons get the most from, so I find either having to constantly run back and forth to get in/out of range as well as constantly switching between action bars to get best dps I can. I am by no means experienced in the game so this is strictly my thoughts on a fire DK.

    has anyone else wondered why a sorcerer can get the passive, I forget the exact one, that increases their flame damage when besides using a fire staff enchanted with a fire damage glyfh is the only skill involving fire that we have access to. well I guess the one from mages guild that changes by staff type but there should be passive for shock/frost as well as fire.

    Except its basically the best stam pve dps class at the moment, it's not exactly dying in a garbage bin.

    Everything is a mirror is this game. "I want a stam morph of this" "I want a magic morph of that" "when will we get the stam version of this set" blah blah blah.. no uniqueness to anything in this game anymore.

    Anytime there is anything that releases to benifit one certain class or build you get someone crying about how it's not fair they're character can't have something similar.

    Here's a great idea for all of you. Scrap the whole game and start over. 1 class, 1 set eveybody is the same. Perfect world.

    They should give every class skill a third morph, so you have for every skill at least one option for stamina or magicka.
    So you have two stamina paths for skills that start out as stamina and two magicka paths for skills that start out as magicka.
    Would give builds more variety.

    something needs to be done with overall balance.

    I just stated doing pvp to get the skills and its so unbalanced its unbelievable. When you see a dragonknight taking on 8 or so others and winning you know something is wrong.

    not that bad.

    i see that all the time. DK surrounded by people and not dying. Are you saying its not unbalanced? because i see so many of them. it seems to be the go to pvp job.

    Merge spell and weapon damage
    Remove damage scaling from magicka and stamina pools
    Get rid of stamina morphs
    Use stamina for sprinting, blocking dodging, melee weapon skills etc.
    Use magicka for class skills and staffs

    More build variety, more class morph options for everyone. Boom.
