    If I had it my way, there would be only 1 guild slot. Its freakin hard trying to find good guildmates when people join your guild just to fill a 5th slot.

    If people join your guild "just to fill a 5th slot" you will have no guildmates with only 1 slot available, lol

    If people join your guild "just to fill a 5th slot" you will have no guildmates with only 1 slot available, lol

    In games that only have one guild slot, people are much more active in their guild, and are much more appreciative.

    So again, 5 is enough. Just choose what suits your playstyle and choose wisely.

    They should reduce the number of guilds to 3 max. And have a total of 5 as an eso plus perk.

    Another solution would be to add more guild store slots. Being able to only list 30 items at a time per guild store means you need 3-5 trade guilds if you want to make money. That leaves little to no room for other types of guilds.

    This is also a good idea, though I still wouldn't mind a 6th slot

    You may be the1 or 2 percent that wouldnt abuse massive guild numbers. But like most systems in this game, itll be exploited.

    A serious suggestion, if there is a 6th guild you wish to join. Find out if they jave a discord/band server and see if theyll atleast let you join that?

    1 is too few. I’m in a housing guild and I can’t imagine that we would ever have a trader. It’s a great guild and it’s surprisingly active in most non-housing parts of the game, but it probably couldn’t exist in a 1 guild environment. 3 would be fine, but there are specialties that need their own groups. 5 is already tough to keep up with and at the end of the day, there is a “main guild” and other guilds. If you’ve ever played fantasy sports, that 3rd to 5th guild is a lot like hearing guys talk about their “other league.” I left one guild because it was clearly a secondary guild to too many of the members.

    With guilds being account based, but some guilds (like RP or PVP) restricted by character or alliance, you run into issues if you like alts and want to play them actively.

    In fact the whole guild system in this game is flawed regarding RP matters. Guilds are structures on the player-side, out-of-characters. It was even worse at launch when there weren't even a tabard

    I suggested then to add a "side-guild" system that would be character-side, that i'd call "Units"
    => they would be "crystallized groups" like Rosters or RP parties
    => One per character alt - We can join as much units as we have alts - No trading option - No bank - A dedicated channel (/u ?) - A tabard system too - Same way to display its < name > like actual guilds - Option to set a member's house as the Unit Headquarters in homestead

    Unless there is a compelling reason in terms of the architecture of the game, I see no reason to cap guilds at all in ESO. Especially since the culture in this game *tends* to push guilds to either be endgame/specialist guilds at a single activity (trials, PvP, roleplay/trading/etc) or rather general/social/casual.
