What do you do once you reach max CP? I've had people tell me to grind for the gear I need and that's fine, but what do I need it for? I don't enjoy PvP one bit due to it being a spamfest just so you can die and travel pretty damn far towards the nearest spamfest. So what do I need the gear for in PvE? Only thing I can think of is Maelstrom Arena.

    Max cp as in cp160?
Now you want to focus on getting some gear, for pve its dungeons and trials and vma who require another setup since its solo.
best tips is to get an crafted and an overland set first, typical julianos for magic builds, hurdling or night mother for stamina,
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Typically once you hit CP 160, you can really get into the end-game content like group dungeons and trials. Having the right gear for your role can make a pretty big difference in how well your character fulfills your role of tank, DPS, or healer. You can also fill different roles just by swapping gear - my MagDK can tank in PVE or heal in PVP with a simple gear/skill swap.

Having good gear can also make overland questing more enjoyable. On my Stam Sorc, I swap between a set of gear that lets me run really fast for a long time when I want to farm materials and a set of gear that lets me do higher DPS for when I want to blast through quest content or jump into a group dungeon with friends. On a different Stam Sorc, I've got a gear setup specifically designed to solo public dungeons by pumping out passive AOE damage that just melts trash mobs. SO even if you don't like group dungeons and trials, there's plenty of fun to be had with overland questing.

I'm max CP, at CP 690, and I do a variety of things in ESO, everything from farming, group dungeons, solo overland questing, PVP, taking a crack at VMA, and generally finding something that will keep me entertained for a couple of hours.

Trials maybe cause it's always fun to have a bunch of people involved, but that can't last forever . VMA fun can't last forever either, I doubt it but it's more likely than the other two.

I joined the forums back then because I was excited to play this and only managed to get my hands on it on January of 2017. All I have been doinv is theory crafting with builds and testing for an entire year, but it's getting real freaking boring trying to come up with a dynamic and challenging style. Best I could come up with was to be half dps half tank with a taunt for dungeons since both pure dps an pure tank are incredibly boring.

Like others have said, if you’re a “complete it to move on to the next game” type of player, this game probably isn’t for you ... especially if you’ve already had long absences in between playing.

Sorry to hear you don’t like PvP. Every day is different in Cyrodiil.

I really wanna do PvP because it will keep me in the game for a very long time, but it's a mess. It's just there for the sake of there being a PvP.

    Well...

There's repeatable dailies for most of the DLC and I find that group dungeons can be new and exciting if you run them with random groups where I know how the dungeon works but the interest comes from working with different players, warts and all. I especially enjoy the process of getting better at my role in group dungeons and experiencing them as different roles. The group dungeons play very differently as a tank, healer, and DPS, and even as the different classes. A Magicka sorcerer plays very differently from a Stamina Sorcerer.

However, outside of new quest content being added to the game, there's not really going to be "new" experiences once you've done everything once. I mean, theoretically you could try everything on every class for a very different experience, but there's not any sort of "infinite experience" (unless you count PVP where the battle is always different because players aren't predictable). Even single player games like Skyrim don't have an infinite experience (I don't count endless murder quests for the Night Mother). Eventually you finish everything you want to do in the game and you move on.

True, but at least the other TES games have environments with stories to tell and spring up a bunch of theories, rewarding exploration and the player's creativity. Plus mods and all. I think adding random elements to enemies in the wild or group dungeons could work. Always keeping you guessing and always keeping you wanting to guess.

Also these are the basic mechanics of the game youre talking about. If its that boring to you, then this isnt the game for you. Even though the cp gear cap is 160, the max number you can allocate is 690, so theres more grind to do. And when it comes to endgame, ite either Veteran Group Dungeons or Trials. Thats it. Repeatable. We get new ones over time, but thats it. There is no content with "infinite experiences" in the way i think you mean.

They could give dungeon bosses and overworld big monsters or/and bosses a randomly timed cue that a devastating hit is incoming. Such as a stun to tell you it's about to finish you off but you can roll away.
The jump or dive trolls and cliff striders do could lead to a kill move if you don't get up quick enough after they land.
I don't know... something to keep people on their feet in PvE vs enemies that are supposed to be threatening.

Best solution I could come up with is to try to solo all group dungeons with my dps/tank hybrid. I just tried it and it was a nice challenge because you have to keep all your resources on check along with buffs. Pretty damn entertaining.

vMA isn't fun to begin with...especially the RNG rewards.

Dungeons can be fun for a few runs, can also do the daily pledges for them.

If you want solo content, there are tons of quests in every zone, if you've done them all then congrats.

You can also level alts and play different classes and roles.

nope, you need it for the bonuses you get when wearing full sets. if you want to be good and help the group in undaunted dungeons or trials, or even overland content, if you don`t want to be squishy and die every 10 minutes, you need sets and the "right ones" for your class, magicka or stamina orientation and dd or tank or healer playstyle

The game is pretty limitless depending on what you find fun. You seem negative about most elements of the game so this may all be a mute point, if it's not for you just go.

PvP isn't just zerg warfare. Find a less populated server, or go I to Imperial City for some small scale action. Or BattleGrounds or get Into dueling. PvP action is dynamic and reactive if you don't zerg surf.
VMA will last you a while. Complete it, then no death it for one of the harder titles in the game. Then push or a scoreboard score. That will take you a while.

Complete zones in their entirety if you like finishing new things. Some of the questlines are brilliant. Orsinium is great.

Get Into trading / master crafting.

Roll a thief and go complete thieves guild questline
Roll an assassin and go compete dark brotherhood

    Solo normal dungeons

Get a team for Vets and try to no death / hard mode run them.

He'll for some end game is fishing. End game in an MMO is a odd concept as it means something different to everyone. Some people spend days just trying to get to parts of the map you shouldn't get to, swimming to other island and trying to beat the slaughter fish.

Do what you enjoy. And if you think you hate it all, well - it's not for you.

Try to collect several the most interesting gear sets.
Try to copmplete vMA with max score.
Try to do all the quests.
Try to get all the achivements.
Try to get an Emperor rank in Cyrodiil.
Try to buy and furnish houses.
Try to do veteran dungeons solo.
Try to play different classes and collect gear for all of them.
Try to play different roles in group and different builds.
Try to defeat all world bosses solo.
    Try to RP.
Try to make your own guild and make it one of the strongest trading guilds at server.
Try to find a group of friends who you enjoy to play with.
Try to collect as much motives/recipes as you can.
Try to earn 1 million gold, then 5 millions, then 10 millions.

MMOs are the games about collecting, about reaching achivements/ranks/titles, about group play with friends.

If all above is not interesting for you then MMO genre is not yours, I suppose.

Do you have many alts? Trying different builds on all the classes kept me playing longer.

PVP really is fun. You just have to accept it for what it is... a numbers game. Dont expect to win anything except a 1vs1, and only when you have the advantage. Dont sweat dying, its going to happen and there is literally no punishments for dying. Wait for a rez, always wait for a rez. If you are dead in a spot that you likely wont get a rez, you are probably going to the wrong places. The map is the most important part of Cyrodiil. I bind it to a side mouse button because its that important. If you play for the alliance you will almost always have intesting battles around the objectives. Defend your front line, only push enemy keeps when they become flagged. Blood port when its beneficial, meaning die to a keep/outpost/resource npc or a player and respawn when its faster than riding. Learn when ticks happen and soak up as much AP as you can because its the only thing worth getting in cyrodiil.

I would advise not doing the niche activities like ganking, 1vX, burning camps, hitting keeps behind the front line, farming resources, etc because those things get boring quickly, require lots of boring riding, and people arent going to be there to help so you too dependant on groups.

Addons you need for cyrodiil would be miats pvp alerts for the 3d markers, combat log and the OP hacks. And I would also suggest rapid riding i think its called, it swaps out rapid manouvers every time you mount up, so you dont need to waste a skill slot on it.

Cyrodiil is the reason I bought ESO and its the only thing that keeps me playing the rest of this game.
