If you are fighting 1v1, fall below 20% health multiple times only to cloak away each time and finally just bounce for good after the 3rd of 4th time when you realize you have no shot at winning the fight it counts as a loss for you. Just saying.

Well I think this thread means it's loss for You because it's You who's having butthurt. Leaving the fight when You realize it have no chance to end good for You it's not loss it's logical move. Just saying.

This kind of disgruntlement annoys me because AvA isn't, fundamentally, a 1v1 game. Players build according to roles they have in mind which might not include fighting your particular build 1v1.

that is on a screen saver from morrowind, and has been a truth in elderscrolls titles for many years.
it is not only true, but it also means you are not a loser for runing away from fights you know you cant win.

Listen to this poster. You made a thread on the forums because you were desperate to pad yourself; convincing any you could that someone no one knows lost a fight no one cared about.

That might sound harsh, but if you do read it that way please know I don't mean to upset/offend you.

I don't even bother to 1v1 nightblades. They'll just cloak away 98% of the time. I also love foiling their ganks by shielding and streaking away >:)

And you think we don't know that? Don't blame us for at least trying. It is hard these days as magblade for example with all those tanks running around, especially DK's who flapwing all my ranged attacks, and dare I come melee they flamewhip my vampire ash.
It is hard as it is currently as light armor if a fight endures. We might have lost the battle if we cloak and give up. But you didn't win either. Nehnehnehneeehneh

Ok. But if you're fighting 1v1 and fall below 30% health multiple times but throw out the SnB ult, the templar healing ult, the resto staff ult, or warden trees, until I give up and bounce, it counts as a loss for you and you have to wash my car.

you are not a loser for runing away from fights you know you cant win.

you are if you try 10+ times and run away 10+ times just to annoy your opponent - people seem to forget that everyone is playing a game for personal enjoyment.
If your only idea of enjoying the game when you can´t beat someone is to waste their time and make the game unenjoyable for them by being an annoying pest you are exactly that: a loser - and a sore one at that.

So true. And remember the words of Sun Tzu:
"He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day." A loss? Depends on perspective.
"Don't fight a battle you can't win." No winners, no losers. Fair deal, right?

So, OP, I've build a character that is perfectly suited to operate from the shadows. I appear out of nowhere, strike quickly, though less hard than I'd like, and then disappear. I know some NBs can gank like that, successfully killing their target, but I'm not quite hitting hard enough to do that to any but the squishiest target. Since I can't kill your tanks or front-line DDs, you'll find me putting down AoEs among your healers and ranged DDs. Generally I can't kill them, but I can cause enough disruption to contribute a bit to my team's efforts.

Should I meet you on your way to the battle, I'll harry you a bit, slowing you down, frustrating you, and then I'll cloak away. Hopefully you warned your faction about me, and hopefully the fear of a ganker slows down reinforcements just a tiny bit. Even better would be if you're silly enough to start searching for me.

I didn't fight you to kill you; I know I can't. I haven't lost; I haven't even participated in the same competition as you. I was having fun in a game I'm playing. Were you?

I could say the same about sorc - but as we both know if a nb does not commit to a fight but just pokes at you to be annoying you won´t catch them at all alone and for sorcs it can be really damn hard aswell (though easier than a nb still as even bigboss can manage that nowadays - he still needs to bugabuse to catch nbs).
