I have to say, this week I had fun in finder! Managed a vet icp hm like a dream - I swear. That team was amazing good fun! No ts/discord just straight in and no deaths. Sweet. I had the ach before but I know it procd for some others because no deaths and also the woo Ty for amazing group! After xD

Then today a DS2 vet, which can often be a nightmare on the netch if people don't know and the green phase if people don't know....in pugs that stresses me out as healer usually and it was smooth as glass and sub 20 mins.

Very good groups.

Anyway, just a couple to get ya started...

When it works, it works. Met some amazing people who enriched my gaming experience greatly the last few days!

I just love it when I get a random group who just rocks. So awesome seriously.

Oh another awesome thing: someone was trying votekick a cp 100sth the whole time vet spindle 1 and since one was my friend and the other was the cp 100sth we knew it was the tank....who then got one shot by the final boss like 9 times and the lowbie does not once xD

I had a group in Normal Darkshade Caverns II where I (the healer) had never healed the final boss, had a player who'd never done the dungeon, another player who'd never finished it, and one player who had finished it but always used the levers on the final boss. Recipe for disaster, right?

It wasn't an easy run, but once we realized we had a complete newbie to the dungeon, we all pitched in to explain mechanics. Grobull took forever, the Final Boss went like a breeze after everyone realized I was serious during the poison phase about "heals on boss, stay close to healer".

It wasn't the easiest run I've had, but it was easily one of the most satisfying as a group of random players all struggled together and ultimately beat that dungeon together. We all pitched in and got it done. Plus, I successfully out-healed the Engine Guardian's poison phase, so I was happy.

I won't DF a Veteran Dungeon. The few times I have, it is a disaster. I only PUG for Normals. Veterans I save for Guildmates.

I have done a lot of Pugs the last couple of weeks in my effort to hit CP1000 (got it 12-30-17). Anyway, other than the two that dropped me into a dungeon in progress, all went very well. Most of them do. Helps to set the tone early by saying hello and asking if anyone has the quest. I then say, we will wait for quest dialogs. This sets the tone and lets people know we are not barreling through the place. Not sure if it was the event or the holidays, but I ran with a lot of low levels and they appreciated this. They repaid this by paying attention and not wandering off to smell the flowers.

I even had one group thank me for not going all Leroy Jenkins on them, I replied that is rude and not something I would do.

Also, never had to wait more than 3 or 4 minutes, even for DPS Roles.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Previously posted in https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/4696346/#Comment_4696346, after the recent Random Dungeon event.

On the last day of the event, we had visiting family. After the visitor went to bed, Darcy didn't want to play ESO at all, and I didn't have much energy for the game either. But I did sign up with my best healing character for a random normal dungeon. It was Ruins of Mazzatun.
    • I'd never been in Ruins of Mazzatun.
    • I'd never watched a Ruins of Mazzatun video.
    • If I'd read a Ruins of Mazzatun online guide, I didn't remember it.

When I landed in group, the high-CP tank had already typed that he had never done RoM either. I typed that with two of us not knowing the dungeon, this would probably not work. The other two group members said nothing. Eventually, the tank whispered me that the others seemed confident, and it was only normal anyway. I agreed, and off we went.

At the time, I neglected to notice the other players were a CP 2xx nightblade ... and a Level 46 DK.

We proceeded with some bumps along the way -- a few deaths, a lot of emergency heals for the DK, a period when the DK wa offline, until eventually we got to the first mechanics-heavy fight and wiped badly. Subsequent chat revealed that NOBODY in the group had ever done this fight before. So I called up an online guide on my computer's second screen and summarized the mechanics for people (something about Spirit Essence and geysers). And we beat the fight!

We proceeded, with various perilous adventures, until we got to the final fight. Again I read mechanics to people. We wiped a couple of times anyway. The nightblade declared he had one more try in him. So we went again. I decided to kill adds personally, as the other guys obviously weren't focusing them. I also was selected as totem-clearer, and while I had no idea WHICH totems to attack, I seem to have made some lucky choices or something, as I didn't have to destroy many at all before that phase was over.

And so we beat RoM. In a group none of whose members knew the fight. With one under Level 50, and three under max CP. My reward box included a green CwC recipe for one of the hideous drinking cups.

I decided to rest on my laurels and let that be my last run of the event. :)

I vet finder every day both pledges on 2 chars. The 3rd I would but she's really geared for not dying to mobs (magblade all cc/sap so like 29k sustained single target if I am lucky and have orbs) so I only farm telvar/take flags/PvP and heal normals on her.

But yeah, due to my time zone and because lols I finder all pledges on vet. It can be done even with low dps: if you can carry them a bit (use barrier over warhorn sometimes, wear Mender and your old seducer crap if you need more regen for orbs and clutch heals than spc gives etc.) and when people know you have their back and won't quit on them many are more willing to accept any 'instructions' on bosses mechanics etc.

I could solo destroy most things obvious exceptions aside - but I do love it when people clear and have fun over feeling useless/hopeless in a game.

But as ever, to each their own and no judgement meant! (Lol and you know I can be a judgy beast when provoked!)

Ran my baby tank through a few randoms last week since I'm new to the tanking life. While doing Wayrest 1 on normal, I noticed the dps were struggling. Like hardcore struggling.... then an ice staff heavy attack caught my eye. Hopped on Mic (on console) and started chatting with her and advised what heavy ice attacks do. She said she had been wondering why the bosses were always picking on her XD so after finally making it through, I got on my crafter and made her some new sets with lightning staves and made a new friend. I always enjoy the runs where I get to help/teach someone.

Not a pug story, but a group of us did vet CoH2 absolutely wasted on alcohol on Hogmanay/New Years eve. Expected to go in and die many times over, but we only had about 3 or 4 deaths during the run. Even more impressive that I had no clue which bar I was using and we were all firing off random skills. I think I was the healer (pretty positive i was). My back bar had restro skills, but i had forgotten to equip one and only realised during the final fight. I BoL'd my way through it and only suffered one death.

We've all agreed to do it again. Falkreath next!!

My amazing story about my PUG Finder adventures is that I had none! Therefor all was and is well! I don't remember the last time I even ran a Group Dungeon or Trial. Maybe 2 months ago ish?

Anyways playing with Elitists is not fun and playing with players who demand you carry them because they can't be asked to L2P is not a fun time for me. Therefor until I can convince some of my IRL friends to play ESO. My group queuing days are on hold.

Most of the dungeons I can solo myself faster then running in most groups. Of players that just pull mobs in every which direction so you can't apply decent dps to them. Or groups of players who have kicked me from group because I solo'd half the dungeon while they spent 10 of the minute or more just fooling around and or listening to the story.

Nope not interested in it at all. Pretty soon I'll be able to replace my MMO hobby with my $15000 USD Artificial life-like human replacement robot towards the end of this year. When it arrives.

To be honest though; are you really so sought after in game or busy irl that you legit can't let someone do the quest blah blah thing?

If so, is it not possibly true that mmos are maybe not the place for you?

I mean what is the actual point of rushing through everything?

I've done every quest in game at least once and I'm ok with Chilling whilst others do.

If anyone is in that much of a hurry maybe they just don't have time for gaming and if anyone is that in demand they surely have people in their own high falutin' guild who can go with them.

Tried healing vBC1, not tried that one in an long time and last run was an catastrophe but it was 400 cp ago, this run went well except I managed to die on last boss but it was during execute so it went well and we did vault of madness. vBC1 is harder as last boss has an random high damage attack who kills low cp DD, think it hit for 18K or something.

Could not sleep so logged on to ESO in middle of night, some asked nAA run ended up as only healer, it looked like lots of the group was pretty drunk as they having lots of issues hitting the teleport plates and DD solo pulling trial bosses while rest was waiting for chest :) weirdly non fell of the edge.

I hear a lot of complaints but don't often have many of the same issues. DPS queue times can be lengthy but I always use the Group Finder! Sometimes I give up when I've got a Super Nub group but usually just heal through it... My biggest complaint is people going in without Food because it's fine if they have low DPS it just takes a little longer but Low HP just makes my Job that much more difficult especially when the battles last longer Because of Low DPS, I can't help with damage and constantly heal someone on the brink of death every .5 seconds...

How I feel rezing low HP nubs multiple times per battle.

    LOL image saved,
Yes, have more good stories than bad, crowning moment of awesomeness was as level 17 on stamblade this was at start of witchmother so old but it was last time low level players could run normal dlc, first dungeon for character, got ICP, I would be kicked was my thought up until first trash, 50K dps and 80% of damage, other DD was not impressive, not LA brigade but, healer was decent, tank was good, we to understood each other so he started pulling together groups of trash.
During this even I got fungal 1, group from 17 to 25, all needed quest but all had good rotation and knew the dungeon inside out, was pretty pointless to as if alts.
Pugs are pugs, you know the feelings: the good, I thought this was a veteran dungeon, yes I get purple drops.
The bad, I'm sure I queued for normal CoA2.

You might be onto something. Hence me more then likely switching hobbies at the end of the year once my Robot arrives. I works 6 to 12 hour days, sometimes 6 days in a row. Not to mention my 1 to 2 hour travel to and from work. So leaves me with a maximum of 2 or 3 hours to game on my work days. And that's only getting like 4 hours of sleep a night.

So yeah.... However I do not fault ZOS at all. Instead as I've said I now do like no Trials or Group dungeons these days. I mostly focus on single player content in this game now. Which fulfills my cravings for ESO.

Yeah that's very like my husband. He plays D2 right now with some lads from work, who are kinda on his same schedule.

So that makes sense. If you're pressed for time getting in a good guild is hard because of committed raid times and pugging is hard because a 20 min thing can take an hour +

Maybe a bit out of topic, but I met 3 random players in dungeon with lore-friendly names once. More than that, they didn't wear some weird gold skins or silly costumes. It was awesome, I wish more such players in ESO.
