I liked most of Orsinium, I even managed to put aside my general dislike of Orcs (in all settings) long enough to become interested in some of the sides quests, and the art and landscape work was excellent.
There was one major problem though, the main quest for the zone...
... for anyone (especially a character that considers themselves a Pact loyalist) to offer their help to King Kurog after his actions at Malak's Maw in Deshaan isn't just stretching credibility, it is actually insulting.
The main quest in Orsinium committed two sins that I will not forgive it for (spoilers for main quest):
- It did not allow me to
kill Kurog for his actions in Deshaan as soon as I met him... or even as soon as I distrusted him.- It did not allow me to
save high-priestess Solgra, the only character in the main quest that I actually had any sympathy for (apart from Eveli)
Either of those would have been enough for me to condemn it. It did both.

I have to agree - the story line, the writing, the characters, just all seem much better than the dlc's that followed... It even seemed that the writing, story and character got weaker with every new dlc?
Did they change writers or other involved people after this dlc? I think the difference is quite noticeable?
