Extra skill point for Morrowind characters

According to Urich's Skill Point Finder Morrowind characters have 1 extra skill point that older characters have no access to. Is there any chance the old characters will get that one skill point at any point in the future?

It's not a game changer, but as a matter of principle it still feels like older players are being screwed over.

It is true, but the devs won't be doing anything about it, it's been this way since beta morrowind
    Hoping for more playable races

I see. Is there any official response from the devs, or is it just an assumption based on them ignoring the issue for so long?

I suspect it is on their list and just not a priority. Missing a skill point has 0 impact on game play. Still classifies as content lockout, but the impact is nill.

Yeah, that would be my take on the matter as well.
Its a small enough issue that they are not worrying about it right now, and have it on their "fix when opportunity arises" list.

Though I really wish they would have made the Morrowind tutorial a bit different... like, running it to -everyone- when they first come to Vvardenfell. That way old characters would have started with the coldharbour escape, and then done the slavers shipwreck thing upon their trip to Vvardenfell, and morrowind-made characters might have started with the slaver shipwreck tutorial, and done the coldharbour escape later on...

...although from the fluff point of view, it would have made -way- more sense for everyone to start with the coldharbour escape right away, and then go on normally, since that would be the perfect excuse for respawning all the time... you know, because "vestige"...
