A message before I'm off

Hey there! I wanted to leave a message for this game before I left it for awhile hoping to get the devs attention!

Unlike most people who quit I think the game is fantastic. I love it. I've put 100's of days worth of in-game time into this game. My daughter IRL is named Tamriel and both myself and my wife played this game. We've spent close to a 1000 on crowns and I have all the autographs of the devs and a photo with gina bruno from quake con. I bought the collector's edition of morrowwind and took part in 3 betas before release and was part of early access.

I think the raids and pvp are great and I think the new content coming out is great.

Here is my problem though. I started the game as a dragonknight and I didn't really like it. I made a toon with a new friend and it was an imperial templar and it was going to be a stamplar (this was before there were stamina abiliities for classes at the start of the game) and I ended up falling in-love with what I famously call "pokey-sticks". The ability was so fun I stayed a magplar despite being imperial. I was one of only a few magplars at the time and loved it! My friend created a magplar at the same time and we to this day laugh at when the first magplar buffs hit the first comment was "This will be great for the 12 magplars on the server" and we always say we're one of the only 12. When radiant destruction came out i fell in love all over again my friends and I call it "tard-beam"

I loved the idea of running dual swords and I hated animation canceling but I always did do medium attacks when I did pokey-sticks. My peak DPS was right before morrowind at about 37k.

Long story short the only thing I really enjoy about this game anymore is the Raids but I only like magplar. I do not like that when people in my guild post about their magplar dps some of them don't even use pokey-sticks. I don't like that the class is a shell of what I always loved. I kept giving it patch after patch to get better but I now realize the direction of magplar is no longer the plar part but rather just the mag.

Myself my wife and two of my friends are leaving because we all loved magplar but we will be back if the devs ever decide to bring it back to how we loved it!

I don't mean to sound indifferent, but what's to stop you from playing the way you want? if you have a good group of friends (like it sounds like you do) then you guys can run any content with sub-par builds how you want, without fear of being kicked or ridiculed. Now, I know it (probably) won't clear Trials easily without animation cancelling and maybe some slight adjustments, but I find it hard to believe that you (with your dedicated group) can't at least either grind it out or do enough damage to be carried slightly. Besides, the added difficulty may make the Trial even more fun. or at least not a mind-numbing numbers game. Anywho. best of luck in your new endeavors.
