To summarize the build, stack Overload damage, cast Crystal Blast, hide and run away. Reminds me of World of Warcraft pyroblast mages when they could POM and one shot tanks for 10k dmg in Arathi Basin.

It is somewhat original using Crystal Blast, and brings a bit fresh air to a class that is quite one-dimensional.

You should definitely slot Rune Cage, Blob. It is delayed just like Blast, but it goes through block and dodge, which are easy counters to Overload.

Your emphasis of going in and out of stealth is the main reason why I ALWAYS bring my own Nightblade into Cyrodiil. Every person I see that's spamming cloak gets a Piercing Mark from me free of charge.

There is no need for it, its a 100% kill rate from stealth anyway, so a CC is a wasted slot

Hey, they gotta mess up or run out of Magic at some point, and I'll be there mashing the ability when they do.

Honestly I just find it funny. It's almost like I'm the only Nightblade that ever uses Mark, all these gankers turn into headless chickens when they realize they're not invisible anymore.

Cheesy mark spammers are the most fun to kill and ironically make themselves kill priority nr 1. Most of the time (not saying you are) they are snipe spammers anyway. The best thing to do is to quickly slot mark and return the favor. Usually you will see them hold block and backpedal. But I don't think nightblades should crutch on a skill like mark. It is a useless skill against anything other than a nb, so a waste if a slot if you ask me.

As for the build. This is quite the coincedence... Just yesterday I got destroyed from behind in 2 hits by someone with overload. I was wondering why so many sorcs don't actively use it. The damage can be quite sick, especially when you build for it such as in this case and since they have access to a hard cc that is unavoidable.

they can still somewhat do that now in pvp, they have a new ability called greater pyroblast that hits for 70% of your health... with an 8 second cast time.
so sheep, they break free, sheep again (2nd goes from 10sec to 7sec) they cant break free, boom powerblast almost insta gib.

Either tons of people have had the luxury of not coming across stamina Wardens in PvP, or they want to keep the running joke of “nerf Sorcs” going. I look at threads like these, and say to myself, “Wow... People really want MagSorcs to become as trashy as MagDK’s...”

Sorcs are THE face of magical arts. No other class, even magicka-based, is as representant of wizardry as sorcs. And this means that people who don't like that, will hate on sorcs the most.

There is also the thing that sorcs have rather unique defensive maneuvers. They can be cracked, but it works completely different from other classes. You either learn them and boast how you learned to play, or you resignate and fan those flames of hatred.

And lastly, sorc offensive burst is extremely spectacular - when it works. Good players know exactly how to anticipate and deal with the extremely telegraphed and avoidable burst, but inexperienced player? Just imagine the frustration of being oneshot in a second through your dodge and block and cloak and HoT - again, and again and again. I can see why you would develop an extreme antagonism.

At least that's what comes to my mind. Can't personally verify, I Sorcz!
