Random bards singing....but there is no bard?! Xbox na

More and more since clockwork city arrived the random invisible bards have swarmed all over! Walk into the bank today in Velyn harbor before even entering a female is singing "red diamond" i walk into the bank and approach the banker and suddenly dueling bards! A male singing one tune and a female singing another yet no one to be seen. This has also happened to me in cyrodiil keeps where there are no bards at all. And even just over land. For a moment i thought i was insane until a few others noticed it randomly as well. (Trust me its not area chat i avoid that big time) Who else has had the random invisible bard experience?

I had the same thing in the middle of Reaper's March.. not a soul to be seen, just a tree .. and there it was: Red Diamond.

I've noticed this with bankers. I was using the Skywatch bank when I heard a lady singing. I thought there was a ghost as well but eventually realised the lady banker was the one singing. She was sitting in her chair singing red diamond. o_o

This happened to me as well... can't remember where I was but I had to travel to a different area for him to stop singing.

YES!!! This happened to me in the earthtear cavern at a guild house. Got me real excited because i want a bard for my house but nope its just coming from nowhere.

Been noticing this a lot while running the New Life event quests for Breda. Sometimes there's more than one invisible bard, and the cacophony that creates is not exactly pleasing to the ear...

I think it's some sound effects getting overwritten for some reason with bard audio (why bard audio? nobody knows!). I've had a skyshard and a runestone sing the song of their people to me, but the runestone shut up when I harvested it.

Todays experience my character screen! I was switching characters and the regular music and then bam bard singing red diamond lol. Its like i cant get away from it!

Also had it in PC/NA Reapers March wilderness, I went searching for the songbird but couldn't find him, just his haunting melody from across the rolling hills.

I'm naming him GhostBard!

I had this bug for a while a few months ago. I would hear the bard in my houses sometimes even. Haven't hear the Phantom Bard--my name for him--in a while though. They must've fixed whatever was causing it on PC.

nope - still around on EU and NA - have personally heard the phantom bard a few times even today!

Edit: those mysterious bards have been playing with us for a few months now

I noticed that too. For example, in Northern High Rock castle, just as I was logging ogg, I heard: "Ayrenn, Ayrenn, you are a great queen...". I was appalled. I mean, how can anyone sing such song in Northern High Rock in broad daylight? What was the fraking thought police doing? The traitorous bard should have been apprehended, had fingers broken, tongue cut off, and sent to reeducation!

For me it is singing Horses and the undaunted troll in the grahtwood enclave, only on 2 chars though, PC EU.
Bug also persists after relogg and many restarts of the game.
I like it though^^

I noticed this a lot! if I zone a lot or swap out to alts, the bug follows too and picks up other bards so I have several of them all singing at once and out of sequence with each other - it drives me nuts!

There are several places that seem to have invisible bard spots, many of them near wayshrines and I noticed a pattern that it seems to be those bards that appear to be attackable that trigger the bug. There is one female bard near the Skywatch WS that will trigger this bug 100% of the time I get within audio range of her.
Like the bard hiding in the runestone, I have also noticed some invisible bards inside crates and barrels that will stop after looting them.
It used to disappear after completely logging out of the game, but I noticed that it often persists now and it seems a pity that the only way to get rid of the music is to turn down the ambient volume, which also gets rid of other helpful and immersive sounds.
It would be useful to have a separate volume control for the bards. As much as I love the music in Elder Scrolls, there are just too many of them singing the same songs over and over, even without the bug!

Happened to me, the npc by a trader in mournehold was singing, but he wasn't a bard so killed him and he kept singing.

This has been happening for a while now. Im hopeful that we will get bards in housing in the near future. Same with armor mannequins ( like the ones in some houses in vvardenfell ).

Is it me or does the Hunding’s Palatial Hall have a mysterious singing bard in the tower? I was walking around my home and out of no where I heard "Red Diamond" being sung. LOL. I got really confused and walked around for about 5 min trying find this elusive voice. Needless to say I have not found the source of my melodic invisible singer but I rather enjoy my random serenade. Has this happened to anyone else?

All over Rivenspire but often at Valeguard Tower boss. It is actually quite nice to listen to whilst waiting for the boss to arrive....

I have found in several places in Rivenspire that when I gather resources; e.g. plants, runestones, ore etc then the singing stops.

I agree that ESO singing and playing is quite nice, but I seem to end up with 3 or more following me around (all invisible) all playing and singing different songs at the same time. The resulting cacophony is awful! I can get rid of it most of the time by quitting the game completely and relogging, but I need to do this sometimes every 10 minutes

It is a very annoying bug that needs fixing fast.....

Bard glitch has been happening for a very long time now, my exorcised coven cottage has this glitch happen from time to time as well.
