What's in the letter to make you spend crowns usually ?

In my case, if I'm thinking about dropping $75 for 21000 crowns, then I'd like to know it wouldn't be better-spent on another game that I'd enjoy more than ESO in 2018.

Correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I believe the most recent episode of ESO Live said the end-of-the-year "Road Ahead" letter would come out within a "week or two," suggesting it would be posted before Christmas. If the letter comes out tomorrow, sure, that's within the time-frame.

Basically, I want to know if it is wise to keep investing cash into this game.

And I'm also curious. I want to separate rumor from fact. Lots of hearsay about 2018, but very little substance.

I understand now . I do not hold them to announcements anymore . I find it better to just wait until they just do what they they say they're going to do because their plans change too often .

Matt is a funny guy .

"Despite 2017 being a troubled time for micro-transactions, ESO’s economy doesn’t seem to be affected by such controversy (though you’d always find complaints about it on the game’s forums), with its business model having found a balance between non-compulsory subscriptions, microtransactions and in-game currency purchases."

So, I want to know exactly what this means... 10 million accounts, active or not, with 2.5 million paid subscribers; or 2.5 million players some of whom subscribed? "...ESO just released its eighth piece of DLC, Clockwork City, and reached ten million players earlier this year (and 2.5m monthly active users). '

I assume it means exactly what it says, that at the time mentioned there were 10 million accounts created with 2.5 million active users each month. What is there not to understand about that? It's nothing to do with subscription numbers.

I agree, I think it means 10 million accounts with 2.5 million active players on average each month. At least that's how it reads.
