Dappple Horse ( Ugly Head decor)

In the preview the horse looks gorgeous. However, after I purchased it, it has this green garland crap on its head that covers half its eye. It looks horrible. COuld you change it so it looks the way it does in the preview without any garland covering its face?

Isn't that the armor update? Try disabling it on the settings and I'm pretty sure it'll go away.

Try turning off the cosmetic upgrades? Looks like it might be the "armor" for this horse (endurance upgrade, i think).

Upon a second look, I'm 90 percent sure it is. You can see the saddlebags from the capacity upgrade and the start of footwraps from the speed upgrade on your second screenshot, but not in the preview. It's a stupid implementation of the armor upgrade, but I'm willing to bet that's what it is.

Oh wow! It WAS the stamina upgrade. Seems kinda dumb to have garland instead of the pretty helmet, but at least you can remove it. Thank you

Yes, must be an upgrade thing, mine doesn't have that garland over its eye.

the conformation of this "horse" is the worst of any of the models so far.

i was looking forward to this one but the zig-zag legs are too broken to buy.

please fix your mounts, i want to buy them but they are so bad that i can't convince myself to part with real money.

You should be able to show the stamina upgrade without the garland covering the horse's eye. Dumb and lazy design.

The Christmas decorations, garland and bells should of had an option to be toggled off. The mount looks good and fits in well with the Christmas season but not the rest of the year. So for me it is a waste of 2500 crowns.

I guess different people see different things depending on their upbringing/background/conditioning/religion, but I don't see it as a Christmas horse, I see it as a Winter horse and therefore not limited to just a couple/few weeks. To each their own, though! Love + Light!

All I can say is at least they didn't charge 4500 crowns for it. I think that was what they charged for the elk thingie last year? 2500 crowns seems like a reasonable price, so my hat is off to, ZOS for at least learning a little from last year's fiasco.

So far, ZOS has

1. Put crowns on sale (right now)
2. Priced the holiday mount reasonably


All they really need to do now is come out with the "Year Ahead" letter and they have ended the year on a great note (imho).

I'm torn. This design/coloring is exactly what I have been wanting for one of my characters. The bells and garland, not so much. Even if you go by season instead of Christmas, it's going to be out of place 75% of the year. Would have loved for all the decorations to have a toggle, but I didn't expect them to which means I'm not as disappointed as I could be. Oh the benefits of cynicism.

Wow, I love this horse model so much more than all the rest. The run animation looks more real to me, too.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come...

Honestly? Even if the bells and garland can't be toggled off, it won't be a problem for my Khajiit character. She's themed around winter anyways. XP

Try going Settings > Gameplay > General > Foot Inverse Kinetics and make sure it is OFF. My horse's legs look totally fine (as seen in the pic above). As tempted as I am to turn on Foot Kinetics to test this, I'm too afraid it would be permanent lol...not to be flip, though, I totally would be disappointed if my horse's legs looked like that. Hopefully, this is a fix.

Foot Inverse Kinematics tuned on most likely, just turn it off.






OP, head decorations are upgrades, you can hide them as usual.

I agree, I'm probably going to get it for my warden lizard and she'll use it all year.

I think the tail is braided though, the back legs are a bit wierd but overall the ones I've seen in-game are pretty!

yes the tail is "braided" but a horse's tail is not that long or thick, even with braided hair over it.

No, it's totally unrelated, the posts were about a "bent legs" issue reported by some users which is due to Inverse Kinematics tuned on, it was not about horses anatomy and ZOS 3D artists at all.

I really like the horsey in this game and I even prefer the bulky one over this slim model.

You are right they aren't much realistic but I love them

The post was about that issue though, not the models and realistic look at all.
