When did the price for packs change? I used to pay 21e for a 5500 pack on a sale, and now it's suddenly 23,50e??

They update for exchange rates periodically. Sometimes it's quite dramatic.

When the 21k pack came out people moaned it wasn't a better deal on sale than 5500. So now they upped the 5500 pack price and reduced the sale 21000 pack price to compensate

So in other words... they want people to spend more money to buy the larger packs... which makes complete sense, you're getting a better deal with the larger packs.

They didn't up the price of the 5500 crown pack, it's still the same base cost BUT the sale used to be 40% off and now I think it's something like 33% off so the sale price is not as low as it used to be. The 14,000 pack gets 40% off and the 21,000 pack gets 50% off.

They want people to feel they get a better deal when buying the larger packs. Which is true with most things, the larger/more bulk you buy the more you save and that's what they are going with here. Base price though hasn't changed, it's just each crown pack tier has a different discount now.

You are still good... Prices went from R$ 79,00 to R$ 130,00 in Brazil for the 5.5k pack.

The current "sale" is actually more expensive than the normal price for the 5.5k pack a couple of weeks ago (R$ 81,90).

We had a good run down here. 300 ms latency, but cheap as hell Crowns. Now we only get the latency...

During the anniversary sale back in April. They bumped up the price for the 5500 pack then. Now you can only get crowns at that rate by buying the 21000 pack.

Given how outrageously they price many items I can only buy crowns at the best rate. I have bought several 5500 packs during a sale before but I've just bought Morrowind and can't justify dropping another $100 on ESO right now. So I'm passing on this sale, hoarding my crowns and waiting til the next sale. Or perhaps the one after that.

So I'll hoard my crowns and hope they don't put anything I love in the crown store between now and then. And I do have to LOVE it. That's the downside of their strategy. Fear of not having enough crowns to buy some unknown limited time item which could show up in the store before the next crown sale makes it easy for me to pass on stuff.
